How Do You Know When You Have A Good Mentor?

I was at my J.O.B. yesterday and I started thinking about what truly makes a good mentor.

I do not have just one mentor, I have a mastermind group of mentors. I was thinking of one

in particular. The man makes more money in a month than I make in 5 years but he gives out

his personal telephone number to anyone who wants it. He is busier than a one armed paper

hanger but is always willing to give of his time to anyone who needs it. I happen to be on his 3rd 

generation but he is willing to share his time with people on his 47th generation. He is willing

to meet team members for lunch and never lets them pay. This is not to show how much

money he has but is his way of saying thank you. He does 10 training calls a week plus 40-50

coaching calls a week yet is always willing to share his experience and strength with everyone.

So why is he a good mentor? Because he listens, he teaches and is more concerned with my

success than his own.The most important thing he gives is his time. He understands that this is

a business not a hobby.
