Today's post is short and sweet...

When you're checking your own content rankings in Google, make sure you are logged out of your Google account. If you are logged in, your results will be tailored (read: skewed) to you and based on multiple elements such as your search history, frequented sites, Google+ connections and more.

If you are logged in and you see your own content ranked in a certain position, odds are it will most likely be different if you do the search logged out. If not then Great Job - its a pure rank!

But keep in mind, all of those elements that affect your search results when you're logged in, also affect your audience's results. And the same tailored experience applies.

As the internet becomes a purer version of interconnected "web" of its namesake, heavily influenced by social relevance, in addition to "creating" content and doing "seo" stuff, get out there and network in your niche. 

Connect with your audience and build your circle of influence... 
Your content's maximum social reach depends on it.
