The Four Agreements
Today I want to share four things that we should do consistently throughout our lives. Just agreeing to follow these four simple rules will put you on a very dynamic path toward achievement. Throughout life we continue to learn, to grow and share our experiences and findings with others. I hope every eye that comes across this article is able to take something great from it.
The Four Agreements...
Be impeccable with your word, speak with integrity, say only what you mean. Avoid using words to speak against yourself or to gossip about others, use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.
Don't take anything personally. Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others you won't be the victim of needless suffering.
Don't make assumptions. Find the courage to ask questions to express what you really want, communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement you can completely transform your life...
Always do your best. Your best is going to change from moment to moment, it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance simply do your best and you will avoid self judgement self abuse and regret. Don Miguel Ruiz

Fantastic Four!
I like to refer to these as the Fantastic Four! Wonderful guidelines for life. It makes me think of some advice from one of John Maxwell's books: "Always put a "10" on every persons head." Thanks so much for sharing with us, Shenitta.
Excellent Focus Points~
Words are so powerful! We can speak "Life" or we can speak "Death." Both have incredible power and will reflect whether we bear fruit or lack. I choose Abundance!
We should never take responsibility for other peoples success, nor their failures. We are looking for the volunteers. You hit the nail on the head Shenitta!

Simple but powerful living

Hugs and Love Jan
thanks Shenitta!
I love it! "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz. Wonderful book! I like to give it as a gift at high school graduations. (altho it's good for adults too!).
Another great book by this author is "Prayers: A Communion With Our Creator". the prayer itself is short, and I will give it here:
Today, the day of the Lord,
when divinity returns to me,
when living my free will,
and with all the power of my spirit,
I decide to live my life
in free communion with God
with no expectations.
I will live my life with gratitude,
love, loyalty, and justice,
beginning with myself,
and continuing with my brothers and sisters.
I will respect all creation,
as the symbol of my love communion
with the One who created me,
to the eternal happiness of humanity.
Amen. Indeed.
Be a Person of Integrity
These are words that ring true to my ears and have the power to change the world.
As everyone knows that is the TRUTH
I do not care who said it 1st it is worth repeating daily!
Thank you Shenitta for bring this to our attention It will be something I will take to heart.

GREAT ADVICE
Shenitta, this is a wonderful article. I think by being the best person you can be on a daily basis is a challenge we all have everyday. I cannot stress the importance of having the upmost integrity for self. We have a choice in life, we can choose to be positive or negative, we can choose to love or hate, or we can choose totell the truth or lie. Our integrity is what makes us who we are and what we are made up of. Thank you for sharing and reminding us there is hope in people.
Great Message!
Thanks for the reminder Shenitta...I strive to always be the best that I can be and to live a life of integrity. I'm currently reading the book "Mach II With Your Hair On Fire" by Richard Bliss Brooke and he quotes this excerpt "The Four Agreements" this is the 1st time I'd heard it.
Good Job Girl!!

A tiny copy of the "Agreements"...
...has been on my bedside table and been read and re-read many times over the last four years. I have read the complete book, but the excepted version, containing just the basics, is a daily companion. It is a tiny little book (just 3"x4") that carries a huge message: "Everything we do in life is based on the agreements we have made -- agreements with ourselves, with other people, with society, with God. But the most important agreements are the ones we make with ourselves... we tell ourselves who we are, how to behave, what is possible, what is impossible. ...If we want to live a life of joy, we have to find the courage to break the agreements that limit us, and choose new agreements based on love."
Thank you, Shenitta (and Don Miguel Ruiz :-)
