The U.S. Post Office can't deliver!
Read More: You would think an organization the size of the U.S. Post Office would be rock solid and able to deliver. I had an experience the other day, sending a package overseas. I first went to the UPS store, and found the box with about $50.00 worth of contents would be guaranteed delivered in 3 business days.
The only problem was the cost to ship it was going to be 3 times the cost of the contents in the package. I was told to try the U.S.Post Office and would get a much better rate, it was close, so I decided to check it out.
I was happy and surprised at the USP that indeed, the cost to ship my package was only going to be about $50! I went through the process, and then asked if my package was guaranteed to make it in 3-5 business days, like at UPS. The man chuckled, and said he couldn't guarentee that it would make it at all, being that it was going to a third world country. In fact, he recommended that I get extra insurance if need be, because the chances were that it wouldn't make it to it's destination.
It sort of reminds me of Network Marketing, and the difference between 2 companies. One company says it can deliver, but you will pay dearly for that guarantee. It will cost you 3 times more than the product is worth, but you will get your product, no doubt!
The other company, though much larger and clearly organized, will charge you a third the amount that the other company charges for the service rendered, but offers no guarantee, would happily take your money and laugh about the opportunity for you to lose it!
USP, UPS, you decide. The one who can start a shipping company that can promise delivery at a fair price is the one I'll do my business with. Hard to find such a company when it comes to overseas shipping to 3rd world countries. Very hard to find when it comes to Network Marketing too! The elusive 5 Pillar Company is like a buried treasure. It's buried in a pile of 2, 3, and a few 4 Pillar companies.
The only way you will be able to uncover it is to get educated and get busy! It's like looking for a needle in a hay stack, but I wouldn't have it any other way!
Does anyone out there want to create a 5 Pillar Shipping Company? You'll have a business partner for life!

Great article Paul since we've all been frustrated when dealing with the Post Office!
Good idea about the shipping co. but I'll pass since I've found that elusive 5 Pillar Co. to do business with. It took the education you mentioned as well as some years and several failures but it was worth it.

Paul once again you hit the nail on the head. Yes in deed, you would think that of the US Postal service and the UPS both are becomeing more greedy and the thought of doing the right thing is now beyond the actual control of the employees. Of coarse the oil companies and their Illustrious greed is not helping anyone. To find a 5 pillar company like the one you folks are in is truely a difficult task indeed.
