There’s a shift going on RIGHT NOW and I hope you’re aware of it.

For the next 5 minutes, I want you to forget about traffic strategies and building backlinks; forget about email subscribers and comments; and forget about whether or not the people you’re marketing to will ever buy anything from you..

…and ask yourself this one simple Question: “Am I Doing Business The Old Way… or The New Way?”

That’s hard to answer without any more information, right? I figured as much, so this post will attempt to answer that question for you. Oh.. it might also ‘Ruffle a few feathers’.

The Old Way Of Doing Business Online..

old-way-doing-businessIf you’ve been online for any length of time, you’ve noticed that there are a ton of ways to build a business online. These ways are called business models but they could easily be broken down into 2 categories.

The first category is what I’m calling the “Value-Later” model.

This model includes things like squeeze pages, mini-sites, ppc and video sales letters with words being read off the screen. (sidenote: I find those video salesletters very annoying, I mean why not just show your face, Jesus!!)

….OK , back to our regularly scheduled post :0)

It revolves around the concept that you can build many of these mini-businesses and have them all working for you automatically. I have no problem with this model, and I know a few people who have successfully managed to build mini-sites that sell a product for them 100% on autopilot.

The thing about this way of doing business is that online consumers, today, are much more cautious of who they’re doing business with online. With the rise of social media, and the fact that everyone now has a voice – trying to sell a total stranger is probably the dumbest thing a business can do.

Take a look at how this looks on a process map..

The first step is to get the visitor, then try to sell them something before they can leave and IF you get paid, you then provide value and help them.

Leadership Value

I haven't met one successful person online who started in the last 3-4 years who didn't do this (this being give, give, give)... however, what's changed is that it's now being taught and shared on a bigger scale to those starting out.

This is a powerfully presented message Hector. Impressed with your leadership value communicated here!

This is how you attract higher quality people... it requires consistent action like anything else but those who keep teaching this message in various ways will be tomorrow's industry leaders.

And they'll be the only ones the large networks like Google allow to participate anyway.

Well done!

Mike

Thanks Mike..

That's right.. I agree that only those who continue adding value are the ones who are going to be around tomorrow.

Thanks Mike, I appreciate your comment.
