Then a colleague asked me, ‘have you invited people to your fanpage?’ I immediately thought, ‘isn’t that kinda cheesy and desperate?’ It’s not. Merely inviting people will get more fans on your Facebook Fanpage. By inviting your followers to your fanpage, you are allowing them the opportunity to interact with others in your fan base. This creates community. Everybody wants to be a part of some sort of community. Why not yours? As you get more friend requests, invite them to join you on your fanpage.

One fairly new feature with Facebook is the Facebook Comments Plugin for blogs. With this plugin, Facebook users can post their comments on your post using their Facebook Profiles. Use Facebook Notes To Get More Fans On Your Facebook Fanpage

Facebook Notes a highly underused method to get more fans on your Facebook Fanpage! Share value with other Facebook users and groups. This is akin to writing a blog post. Let’s say you learned a new way to get more fans on your Facebook Fanpage ;). Create a Facebook Note on your fanpage profile and share it. When someone clicks on your note, they will be directed to your fanpage. By using Facebook notes, you are attracting people to your fanpage, and also you as a leader in providing solutions to their problems. You can also drive traffic with Facebook notes, but that’s a whole ‘nother blog post!

Use Your Fanpage  To Comment On Other Fanpages

This is a tip I picked up from Michele Pescosolido that I thought was absolutely BRILLIANT! Anyway, use your fanpage to comment on other fanpages. Interact with other people commenting on the same page. Address someone directly. When you do, they will click on your icon and land on your fanpage.  If they are also a fanpage holder, and like your fanpage, your fanpage will show up on their page as well.

These are simple ways to get more fans for your fanpage. There are others as well, but the above tips to get more fans on your fanpage can be implemented right now.
