Chatroulette: Don’t Say I Didn’t Warn You!
Chatroulette: Don’t Say I Didn’t Warn You!
If you haven’t heard of Chatroulette, you’ll become familiar with it very shortly, not because of this post, but because it is yet again a new phenomenon in the world of the Internet. The basic premise of Chatroulette is the sites ability to pair you with a random stranger and to be able to speak to them from several countries including the U.S, Brazil, Australia, China, Mexico, Sweden, to name a few. Once you or your “partner” clicks the next button, you will then be randomly selected to speak to a new individual or “something.”
You’ll know what I mean soon enough when I use the word “something.”
...picture says it all.
The site was created by a 17-year old Russian named Andrey Temovskiy whom coded the entire site himself along with a $10 webcam. “ I wanted to entertain myself and my friends. I am not even sure what the purpose of Chatroulete is now. Everybody finds his own way of using the site!”
Although it sounds like a perfect new Internet platform to market and make connections, don’t be fooled.
In an industry and era of network marketers whom learned to not only learn but dominate internet social platforms such as Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Youtube, and Linkedin to generate leads and business, let me be the first to say Chatroulette is going to be the toughest challenge thus far. I will go as far as to say that it isn’t for the weak-hearted.
I will go a step further to say that it isn’t going to work for business.
The premise of the initial Chatroulette sounded innocent and simple enough, almost a face to face speed concept of Skype, however it has quickly turned into a voyeuristic, racist, perverse, mean-spirited, bottom-feeder of the human race spectacle! Which, don’t get me wrong makes for great entertainment …just not business, nope, no way, no how!
....umm you want that in your downline?
I will keep this post short, as there is enough information and articles in mainstream media emerging on this movement. I just wanted to address my fellow networkers whom might be having delusions of grandeur with Chatroulette.
So with that being said, don’t say that I didn’t warn you!
