Dont Get Sent to Social Media Detention

There are a number of ways to prospect online, some people use article marketing, others google pay per click, and some people use good old social media. What is social media? Sites like Youtube, Linkedin, and Facebook. These sites are the internet worlds equivalent of belly to belly marketing. Its the closest thing to interacting with someone that isn’t physically right in front of you.

I find it the easiest and fastest way to make a connection with someone. I personally enjoy interacting and connecting with people on facebook. I have made a lot of friendships and connections with people that I probably would never have met with any other way. I have connected with someone all the way in Romania!! That really blew my mind to have a friend all the way there that was into Network Marketing!!! The power that the internet has given us is tremendous, but with great power comes great responsibility and there is always a downside to everything.

Most networking professionals got into the business because they like people. They like interacting with others, learning about others, and really have a genuine interest to make a connection. They also understand that while out networking your main goal is to try to provide value as often as possible while out on the social media scene when connecting with others.

Then there are the other networkers. Im sure you have come in contact with them because they seem to outnumber the professionals. They are annoying. They send unsolicited emails about their preluanch opportunities that you just have to get in on, they send instant messages without even saying hello. I even had one guy send a message and all it said was “MLM”. I sent back “multi-level-marketing”. Then he wrote “no what is your MLM?” Are you serious? Your in such a hurry you cant even write the sentence out? Wow!! I couldnt believe it… So after I joined his business… LOL, just kidding, hahaha. If someone bites on this type of marketing how long do you really think they are going to stay in your company? If you easily swayed them to join you that way, someone can easily sway them into another opportunity just that fast!! Your not building any type of relationship at all your just selling and that is not what we do in the industry of netowork marketing.

So I said to myself there has to be a way to try to counteract this obtrusive unproductive behavior, and thats when it hit me, they need to be put in some sort of detention or training to learn the correct method of marketing. Or better yet, they need to understand how annoying it is, and that is when the “Social Media Detention” idea was born. I know if I continually got tagged with some sort of video I would get annoyed the same way we get annoyed when someone pitches their business to us unexpectedly!!
