Good News: Facebook Now Allows Comment Editing And Subtle “Business” Card
For those of you that use Facebook marketing in your business, you’ll at some point no doubt have experienced the embarrassment of making an error in a comment that was live for all your fans to see.
Well this week Facebook has been rolling out the ability to edit comments you leave, so that the discussion can continue as normal, without having to delete your comment (which is particularly useful if your comment sparked further discussion).
This is great news for anyone like me who usually “Facebooks” on the go from an iPhone…notorious for those funny, but embarrassing autocorrect errors!
To edit your comment simply hover over it and you should see a pencil in place of where the X icon used to be. Now you can select edit and save yourself a little embarrassment!

How will this affect conversations?
The first question I had was “what if people completely change their comments, making it confusing for newcomers to the discussion?”
Facebook have that covered also.
When you edit a comment it will appear with a note that it has been edited, and other users will be able to see the original unedited version.
So while it’s a great feature for undoing errors, it’s still wise to double check your messages before you hit return!
This is the second update to Facebook this week after the new Timeline cards.

The new feature looks like a business card and also contains your friends’ job, a thumbnail gallery of mutual friends along with buttons for messaging and seeing how you have your friends categorized.
The new hover card replaces an older design that is much smaller and shows the same information excluding cover photos and jobs.
Note that the JOB feature is now added to the timeline card, making it a fantastic way of sharing your home business with others, by simply taking part in discussions.
There may well be more new features continuing to roll out this week that will help avid Facebook marketers have a better experience. Keep your eyes peeled and feel free to share any more you finding in the comments below.
