Everybody's Using Social Media

No matter what business your're in if you don't have a social media marketing plan of action in today's internet world, you're likely missing out on a tremendous amount of business.

A Great Point.

Hi Donna,

You make a great point. I did not know that the Army was doing this. But it makes total sense. Social media sites are where the Army's target market is hanging out.

That is certainly important to all network marketers. It's so important to know where your target market is spending their time. If your target market spends time on social media sites, then the network marketer should provide value on those sites.

Donna, you always come up with some interesting ideas.

Finally Waking Up

There will always be those that fight the trends. But fighting a trend such as social networking is like hanging yourself on a very short rope.

It's come to the point where we need to use it or we lose it.

A new fishing pool

This is interesting Donna, but it makes sense. The army like any network marketer needs to go where the crowds are, where their target market hangs out. Social media sites are where they are, that is for certain.

Social media sites are like billboards, or fishing pools. Obviously the 'billboard' outside to the post office isn't working for the army anymore.

Social Media Done Right

If Social Media isn't used correctly it's no benefit to those in Internet or Network Marketing. The Army is using it as a recruiting tool, and PR. They already have their brand..."US Army."

Those in business, with home base business or brick & mortar need to us social media first to get people to know and like you.

That's Where it Is

Social sites are where the people are, so that's where marketers need to be. The Army is just another marketer looking for people.

Interesting that they are coming online to find them. I guess I never thought of them as needing to.

Thanks, Donna, for this enlightening article.

Thank You...

Thank you everyone for the comments.

You know I found it quite interesting when I saw this video. In all honestly, I thought it was a must share, because so many are forgetting what we have at our finger tips. And you know I figure if the Army can use it... We definitely can use it as network marketers too!

Thanks again,
Donna Wells

What we have at our fingertips

thanks, Donna.
I think yu are right, for me at least. with all the noise and shuffle with the social media I sometimes get quite tired of it all and forget what a magnificent tool it is. We can definitely use it too.!

Social Media is BIG

Donna, thanks for the up-date on the Army using social media. I know many large corporations are also using social media to keep in touch with their customers and keeping an eye on any negative comments being posted - proactive PR. Learning to use social media properly and not be a "spammer" is also important.

Going Where They Go

Thank you Donna. There is a huge shift going on - social media will change how we communicate and interact (if it has not already). I think so many are focused on the Baby Boomers that they forget by next year - Gen Y will outnumber them. They are the ones online. I recently saw a stat that 96% of Gen Y has already joined a social network. Great tools to use for sure.

Social Media Abuse

I am starting to see businesses using social media solely for selling - and missing the whole point of social. Having a plan before starting with social media can help businesses skip the pitfalls and jump ahaed to the benefits.
