He Wore A 9-EEEE

Read More: Social Networking

My buddy Dwayne is a great guy.  Positive, outgoing, and with just a little edge to him.  He's never made a lot of money, but has tried a lot of things.  Funny thing is, he has a hard time buying shoes.  His foot is so wide that its difficult to find shoes that are comfortable and supportive.

So, a few weeks ago, Dwayne decides he wants to join me in my primary opportunity.  Of course, I jokingly asked...do you think you can fill my shoes?  OK, yeah it was a bad joke, but he's my buddy, and I like to give him a hard time.

Feet

The intent of my question was more than just teasing him though.  I wanted to know if he could follow my system.  Could he practice Attraction Marketing, could he learn how to generate his own leads, could he develop himself personally, especially his leadership skills?

He assured me that he would do these things.  Needless to say, I was stoked.  Dwayne's a good friend, and I'd like nothing more than to help him be successful.  So, I sent him some information to check out, and we were scheduled to go over it in a couple of days.

And then, like a thud, the other extraordinarily wide shoe dropped...

I was looking through my Facebook account, and noticed a post by Dwayne.  It went something like this:  "Hey, I just joined XYZ company, and you should too.  They've got the most AWESOME compensation plan, and their products are out of this world.  You'd be nuts not to join up!"  Check it out here."

And then he directed people to a (gasp) company replicated site!

OUCH.

He obviously had not even looked at the information I had directed him to.  So, I gave him a call.  In a nice way, I explained that he would be going backwards if he continued to blast his Facebook wall with messages like that.  To practice Attraction Marketing, we have to do the things that attract!

As I got to thinking about it, there actually was a silver lining to the story.  You see, upon removing his overly wide foot from his mouth, we were able to identify something that each one of the "E's" in his 9EEEE foot represented.  In other words, in order to attract we must do 4 things that start with E:

1.  Enlighen -Show people a different way of looking at things.

2.  Empower - Give people a reason or motivation to improve their lives.

3.  Educate - Teach people how to do something that will help them grow their business.

4.  Entertain - Tell a joke, share a story, brighten someone's day...it's an excellent way to connect!

So, the next time you're about to post something online, think of Dwayne and his wide feet.  Make sure you're employing one or more of the 4 E's.  You'll be amazed at the results.

To Your Success,

Shecky

PS  Good news....in a few short weeks, Dwayne's now making enough money to buy custom made shoes!  The reason?  He learned to follow a SYSTEM.  A SYSTEM is what separates the top 3% income earners from EVERYONE else.  If you want the inside scoop on what Dwayne has learned, watch this FREE 10 Minute Presentation.  EVERY Magnetic Leader in MLM has watched it.  You'll never look at your business quite the same way.   Go Watch It Now.

That Was Me!

Hey Shecky,

Awesome story! It is too funny to watch people try to market their business without employing attraction marketing principles...knowing what we know now.
I find it scary to think that I was acting like your friend just several months ago! Wow!
From now on I'll think of your friend's wide feet whenever I post something online! EEEE...

Those feet were made for walkin'

That was a great article. Hard to step away from the content and just look at the structure. A great learning resource with a lot of E's in there.

My Shoe Story

When I was growing up I had a hard time buying shoes because they stopped at size 12. I was wearing a size 13 by the time i was 12. People would say 'act your age and not your shoe size'... I always laughed and said 'thank you'.

I agree completely about how bad company replicated websites are. You've just got to create your own blog or webiste these days.
