Heard of "New Century Networking"? - Killer Traffic & Lead Generation Strategy
What Is New Century Networking?
Hello everyone. I am going to share with you one of the most powerful marketing
concepts to ever be introduced to the business world. The principles I am going to
share are mainly directed toward companies that do business online, but plenty of
offline companies can implement this as well.
I coined the phrase "New Century Networking", and I define it as "Forging Strong
Relationships Through The Power Of Technology". Since it's the 21st century, it would
make sense that we are starting to see a shift in the way business is being done. No
longer do the outdated methods work as well. Therefore companies need to change with
the times if they want to stay ahead of the game.
Here is the issue facing most businesses. The heavy competition in every industry
makes it harder and harder for a business to keep their customers coming back. It
seems there is always someone else with a slightly better deal, or is just a little
more convenient.
What is a company to do about this? If they lower their prices more, they won't be in
business for much longer.
One of the solutions that I have found lies in building strong relationships with
prospects and customers.
Yes, I said PROSPECTS as well. Even BEFORE they ever become a customer.
So, with all of that said, here is how this works.
Basically everyone and their dog are a part of multiple social networking sites.
People go there to meet other people. Period. These communities always divide
themselves into very specific groups, so they can interact with other like-minded people.
So, now your goal is to position yourself and your company in the middle of these
people in a way that attracts them to you.
For example. If you own a company that deals with pet products, go to a social site
and join some of the groups that are pet related. You can get even more specific if
you want. Maybe you sell a grooming guidebook for Poodles (do Poodles even need
grooming? idk...). Find groups that are all Poodle owners and mingle with them.
Now, the key here is to NOT just start pushing your products and sending spam messages
trying to make a quick sale. You won't last long. Instead, become an active member
and participate. Answer people's questions and give advice in areas. While in the
meantime, your personal profile has your website and business information all over it.
As people come to appreciate your knowledge and expertise, they will naturally be
drawn to do business with you because you have helped them so much already. now you
have a customer for life, and a new friend! Plus, in my experience, creating
relationships like this also send me a huge number of referrals that I didn't have to
ask for.
Here are the basic steps summarized:
1)Identify social networking groups/sites that relate to your market
2)Design your profile page to promote your comapany or products and direct visitors to
your website.
3)Become an active, helpful participant among your market.
4)Establish yourself as an expert in the field by providing useful content to
everyone.
5)Watch your new and repeat customers increase before your eyes.
6)Repeat, in another of the many networks that relate to your market
So, hopefully you caught the concept. There are an enormous number of social sites
that you can join. Even entire sites that are specifically geared toward a particular
group of people. Find the ones that fit your market the best and go have fun, make
friends and make money all at the same time.
New Century Networkers will always have the most loyal customer base.
To your success,
