5 Strategies For Reaching Rockstar Status On Twitter:

1. Tweet, Retweet, and respond to Tweets. You should spend time each day (throughout the day) posting new tweets.  Twitter is a social networking site, you must therefore interact with Tweeters.  Respond to other people's tweets. Remember, retweeting someone else's Tweet goes a long way.

2. Customize your profile page and add a picture. Your profile is like a business card.  What does your Twitter profile say about you? Don't use the default profile, personalize it and make it yours! Make your profile interesting and compelling.

3. Follow (unfollow those that don't follow back). To gain followers keep in mind you must be a follower.  Eventually you'll be the leader, everyone follows the leader. Determine your target audience and follow accordingly.  You can always check to see who isn't following back and unfollow.

4. Keep It Real. Share what's on your mind and what you're doing. Provide useful and interesting information that YOUR target audience will be interested in... You don't have to go into specifics or share every detail about your life. But you do want to give glimpses into your life by sharing a few pictures or videos to make your tweets less impersonal.

5. Respond to direct messages. If someone takes the time to send you a direct message, take the time to respond.  Say thank you and always show your appreciation.

Find creative ways to tweet about your business...if your tweets offer value and insight people are more likely to want to connect with you and learn more about what you do. I've seen so many people tweet about their business opportunity to the point of overkill! Don't be that person.
