How much time do you spend on social networks?

Better yet, when you are on social networks, how much time do you spend playing those Zynga brand games Café World or FarmVille?

They have blown up the social networks world with well over 56 million monthly active players. Of course, I am in the army of players, and I’m not ashamed of it either. I see no harm in spending a little time entertaining myself between building my business.

Then one day, it hit me. I asked myself how I was introduced to Café World and Farmville? What made me want to start to create a restaurant from scratch? What was it that made me want to build a farm from nothing? The answer was truly amazing. I was introduced because my interest was piqued by something or someone on one of the social networks  and I started to build something from scratch because I had a strong desire to create something from nothing by building it up and looked for others that had an interest like I had.

I want to ask you, what makes this any different than networking and building your market? What’s even more amazing is the fact that the creators of the company Zynga have generated well over $100 million dollars from social networks in less than 2 years from these online businesses. I hope you did not miss that last revelation. Simply speaking, they have created an online network that has paid them well beyond what they anticipated. Great problem to have right?
When you are on the internet browsing, researching, playing or working, what are you doing to get your BRAND recognized by others in the internet social networks world? I want to invite you to have a paradigm shift in your thinking when you spend time on the internet.
