How To Add 5,000 Targeted Facebook Friends In 6 Months
The aim of a person marketing online should be to reach as many targeted people as possible, in the shortest time frame possible, with the least amount being spent. With this in mind I have not needed to spend any money on Google Adwords as yet, as I have been using Facebook and Twitter in conjunction with my blog, to reach impressive numbers of targeted traffic. This strategy has cost me $0 and in simple terms “it has worked”.
Facebook is undoubtedly the number one social network to meet like minded people, develop relationships with these people, and convert some them into paying customers. I decided that I wanted to reach 5,000 friends in lightning fast time -without getting my account deleted. When that 5,000 target is reached you can always delete some of the friends that you are not connecting with, and approve new friend requests if they meet your criteria.
Some people may think that it is a bit rude, or mean to delete people. Because the amount is limited to only 5,000 people, you really want the best quality people on your list as friends. There is little point in keeping someone on your friend list if you never interact or communicate with them, or if you have very little in common. The best way to assess a potential new friend is to look at how many mutual friends you both have. If you have a high number of mutual friends, then you never delete them.
This is my summarised action plan to get your Facebook friend list turbo charged.
- Don’t add friends manually, it’s far too slow if you want to add large numbers in a hurry. Do yourself a favour and buy a copy of the Facebook FriendAdder software. This software will save you many hours of tedious work, and only costs around US$50. You can try if for free for the first 3 sessions to test it out. The Facebook FriendAdder software allows you to pick specific groups that you want to target, and automatically adds the friends for you. Don’t add anymore than about 55 friends per day, if you don’t want your account deleted.
- Add every single person that requests to be your friend until you reach the maximum level of 5,000. You can always delete them later if you choose to. The idea at the beginning is to swell your numbers up, and then be fussy about who is on your friend list once you reach the 5,000 mark.
- Join as many relevant groups to your business as you possibly can. This will allow as many people as possible to find you. You will also be receiving group requests from other people, which is worth looking at. Don’t join any groups that are not related to what you are doing. The downside of this strategy is that you will get a lot of spam in your inbox, but that can quickly be deleted.
- Make your profile as interesting as possible, and give people a reason to want to send you friend requests. Put a high quality photo up and fill out all of your profile section so that people can check you out. It goes without saying to not put your home address or phone numbers on your profile, but everything else should not be a problem. Don’t put any links to businesses on your profile, send people straight to your personal blog, so they are able to find out more about yourself.
- Put regular posts (or comments) on your profile. Don’t let it just sit there gathering dust, people will not want to connect with you. Don’t spam people all day either, make sure you put interesting material on there such as quotes, comments, and relevant links that people will appreciate. If you want to advertise, only put 1 advertisement on your wall for every 3 or 4 non advertisements.
- Go through your direct messages at least twice a week, and reply to the people that you think deserve a reply. Don’t waste time connecting to every message and request that you receive in your inbox. Try not to spend too much time responding to messages, but make sure you follow up on the people that are interested in your business.
In summary you need to get your name out there and stand out in the crowd. Facebook is the best place to start to build an online presence!
