Twitter can effectively be used to generate targeted MLM leads for your business but it takes a special effort to do this.  Twitter posts move so fast, that people wonder if it is even worth it to participate.  The answer to this is unquestionably yes, it is worth it!

How to Find People to Follow

If your goal is to generate MLM local leads using Twitter, here is one way to do that.  Go to search.twitter.com and search for people in your local area.  For example, you could search for “network marketing Denver Colorado” to find people in the Denver area.

On a larger scale, you can use search.twitter.com to find people who may be following well-known and popular leaders and trainers in the MLM industry.  For example, Jonathan Budd has an extensive following on Twitter.  Most people who follow him are probably interested in Network Marketing.  Therefore, you could follow those who are following him.

Important Points

Remember, the goal on Twitter is to help you generate fresh MLM leads.  As you work to build up your following, here are some tips to help you.

1. Follow at the right times.  6:00 to 10:00pm EST and weekends seem to be the most effective.

2. Follow 50 people per day in the beginning until you reach 500 followers.  Allow 3 to 4 days for them to follow you back and then delete them.

3. After you have 500 followers, follow 10% of your list per day.  For example, if you have 600 following you, then you can follow another 60 people.

It is important to know when the best times to Tweet are.  Afternoons between 11:00am to 3:00pm EST and evenings between 9:00pm to 11:00pm EST are very productive times.  Mornings aren’t great but you can still send out a few Tweets during the morning hours if you would like.

Tweeting in Blocks

One Tweet has virtually no impact.  It gets lost among all the other Tweets.  One strategy to generate cheap MLM leads is to Tweet in blocks of 5 to 10 Tweets at a time.  4 of the Tweets could be inspirational quotes and noteworthy news items and the last Tweet could be a link to an article you have posted on your Blog.

Tweet the enter block in 5 to 7 minutes, one Tweet every 30 to 60 seconds.

Best Days to Tweet

According to Sysomos.com/insidertwitter, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the best days to Tweet.  16% of Twitter is active on average.  Sundays tend to be the worst days to Tweet.  However, you never know when people are online so it doesn’t hurt to Tweet the entire week long.  Just know that certain days will be more productive for you than others.

Rather than decided to only buy MLM leads, consider Twitter as one of the strategies in your game plan.  It takes patience and determination but it can yield wonderful results for you over time.
