The Critical Cs of Internet Marketing Part I
I was sitting here thinking this morning about what value to offer to my readers and I thought back to lessons that were taught to me early on. When you have these three things, you can make it in Internet Marketing, but if you don't you will Lose the Game. They are extremely critical and so I call them the Critical Cs of Internet Marketing. There will be lots of articles coming on these topics, maybe as a series...I haven't decided yet. Anyways, here's the short version today.
We’ll start with the first C, Consistency.
Internet Marketing, as with any skill, takes time to develop. It is not a get- rich-overnight-with-affiliate-marketing kind of deal. No matter how great your coach is, or your training materials are, some things you will learn through trial and error, split testing, etc. In our industry, many of us have been taught that there is no real learning curve for network marketing and you just make a list of family and friends and duplicate. Maybe for a select few people this works, and when it does, it's mostly in traditional network marketing, but to make it online, you're going to have to develop skills.
Often, when people realize this-when they come down from the hype of "Person A made $10,000 in 7 days from Facebook,” they’re disappointed because it didn't happen to them that way. Well, here's a revelation. It doesn't happen for most marketers that way. Usually when someone is claiming those numbers, yes, it really happened, but they didn't just get started with Internet Marketing. Maybe they got those results with Facebook, Twitter, or whatever it is they're claiming, but that is often after going through the general learning curve of Internet Marketing; after learning a particular strategy through another site or service they struggled through already.
So what am I saying?... Don't be discouraged if you're not getting those numbers yet. Just be consistent. Continue training and continue doing what you are doing. If you're using a particular strategy that is bringing you 5 leads per day, keep doing it and do more of it. Keep learning what you can to increase those conversion rates.
Consistency pays off in the long run. Long Run is KEY. You need to be prepared to invest in training continually and to allow yourself 6-12 months to start seeing your marketing pay off for you. I'm not saying you won't make money or generate leads before then because you definitely can. I did. I also have invested a lot of time, energy, and money into an Internet Marketing education with a whole lot more investing, training, and learning to go.
So...Be Patient, Be Consistent and Invest into what you really want in life. Make it a great day and next time we'll talk about the next Critical C...!

The Critical C's of Network Marketing
Tashamma, after this article I cannot wait to read what the other two C's are. You are absolutely correct: network marketing is a skill that needs to be developed and is not a get-rich-overnight endeavor. Yes some people do make helacious amounts of money in a short period of time, but that information can be quite discouraging to those of us who do not. Keep trying, keep praying, and keep learning.
Thank You Jason!
Thanks Jason. I didn't even realize I had a comment for this article.
I guess I thought I'd get an email or something. Charge it to my newbie BN status...LOL I'll have Part II posted this week.
