There Is Only ONE Type of Person That Fails In Network Marketing
The only people that fail in this industry are the people that say ..
“I need to”, and most likely followed by tomorrow.
It’s that simple. Everyone else will succeed, but not him, he will fail. It is inevitable.
He is the person that you HATE to work with.
You don’t like him, I don’t like him, he probably does not even like himself.
And you are probably asking yourself well what’s wrong with saying I need to?
Well there are two kinds of people in this industry.
There are the people that say I need to, and there are the people that say I am.
There are the people that know they need to get some work done, and there are the people that are getting work done.
There are people that work the most and still have time left over, and the people that are always too busy doing absolutely nothing at all.
It seems so simple, yet it is so often overlooked.
Do you get where I am going with this?
Yeah, you can sit there all day and talk about how it would just be crazy awesome to get some work done today. You would love nothing more than to make some great money. You sit there and dream, dream, dream.
You sit at your desk with your shiny new laptop computer, your piece of paper with your hundred new leads, you pen, your cell phone (just in case you get a phone call from some top marketer), and you dream. You think about the new sports car that you are going to buy with all that new money. You think about how great it will be when you get to see your family whenever you want. You think about retiring at age 30, and writing that book about the millionaire who is only 29.
Everything is in place. You are all ready to start making those big bucks.
There is only one problem. You just “thought” the day away. You forgot that time does not stop when you are thinking about greatness. Time seems like it starts moving even faster than before.
And now it is time for you to go to bed. Luckily you have a great partner, or maybe a real good upline that gives you a call every night just to see how your day went.
They first ask you what you got done today. Being the smart man that you are you make up some wicked awesome excuse, which of course your partner buys.
He then asks you if you got done calling those 20 leads like he had asked you to do the night before.
And what is your answer.
Of course!!!
You say “No, but I NEED TO tomorrow.”
That’s the end of that phone call.
Now tomorrow has came, and instead of calling the leads you find some other excuse that makes you just so extremely busy doing absolutely nothing at all.
Your upline calls you again that night and asks you what the 20 leads said on your phonecall.
Your answer “I haven’t called them yet, but I NEED TO tomorrow.”
Now do you see where I am getting at?
Tomorrow will always be tomorrow.
You cannot beat it. It is like the Earth's gravitational pull or something. The person that sits there and does nothing is the ONLY person that is going to fail in this industry.
I have gotten to the point where I do not even care what I am doing, as long as it relates to network marketing, anymore. I just want to make sure that I am doing something.
Now I don’t want to waste anytime considering that I have recently learned that time is way too important to give up, but as long as I am getting better at whatever I need to, my time is not being wasted.
I guess my one word of advice here is: Do something. Never stop “doing”.
The day you stop “doing” is they day you stop “winning”.
It might be tough without that boss breathing down your neck, but I did write an article a couple of days ago that will teach you how to make sure that you can beat that. It is called Hey You! Get Back to Work! You can either search for it, or check it out in my profile.
Always remember that passive people get what they get, and proactive people get what they want.

Good Looking Stuff Landon.
I think that you hit the hammer on the nail with this one Landon. I find myself saying that I need to way too often. You probably wrote this article because of me!! Ha. But no in all seriousness I am glad that you addressed one of my problems. You probably could have private messaged it to me instead of having it out here for everyone to see. But i am sure that I am not the only one that has this problem (at least I hope not)
That's Not All..
You have a good point there, but I don't really think it's those exact words. Its just that idea. The idea that people have just waiting until tomorrow to do something. But your right tomorrow will always be tomorrow. I think most people have this problem of procrastination, and your right it is tough without a boss hovering over us in this business. I'll go check out your other post right now! Thanks for the tips
Ha Ha Curt
Come on now man. This has nothing to do with you you know that. This is just something that I think a lot of people have a problem with, and I thought that I would address it that's all. But it wouldn't hurt if you stopped saying it either :)
Your right Delaney
Yeah a lot of people procrastinate. I actually read a stat once that said the number two reason that people fail is procrastination. The number one was actually fear of failure. I should write an article about that next! Ha. But okay go ahead and check that one out, and let me know what you think.
Stop Planning and Take Action
It is all about a good action plan. Too many people plan, plan plan or they need the perfection.
BECAUSE:
The fact is, that to do anything in the world worth doing, we must not stand back shivering and thinking of the cold and danger, but jump in and scramble through as well as we can. ~ Robert Cushing
Have a super great day! Connie
The Only People That Fail Are The People That Say “_TRY_”.
Never say "Try". Be positive about your actions and "Know that you are going to do something. The second you say you are going to "try" and do something/anything, you're brain is setting yourself up to fail.
My definition of the word "Try" means that your brain is saying " I'm going to give it a shot, but I'm not giving it 100% " then "When" I fail, I can fall back on my word "Try" and it will be justified.
Connie..
You are exactly right. So many people just happen to forget about the whole action part. People love to have plans. They have plans for everything. They have plans for this friday night, they have plans for the superbowl, they have plans to succeed in network marketing.
They then take action on their plan friday night, they then take action on their superbowl plans, but for some odd reason the actual act of "doing something" to succeed in network marketing just slips their mind.
The people that take action are the people that succeed.
Your right Mike (ha that rhymes)
You see it the same way I do, except I just used the phrase "I need to", but it really is the same concept. If you let failure be an option, and leave it lingering around it will suck you right up and eat you for dinner!
You need to take "I will tomorrow" "I'll try" "It's not about winning" "I'm not failing, I'm giving up" "It's not my fault that I failed" right out of your vocabulary.
You need to kick failure's a**.
Failure just isn't an option.
Thanks for the feedback everyone :)
