The Steps in Keeping Your Prospective Downlines
We all know it takes a lot of time to attract and recruit new people. Therefore, no matter what happen, we must keep as many as possible of them in the team for as long as possible.
There are a few common questions that most sponsors would ask:
"I've got a new sign up in my business. What should I do now? How do Iget to keep them?"
This question is the best of all. It is simply because this is the mark that they are new in the MLM business and there is room for them to grow bigger.
You must be alert of what I will be revealing. Most of it will be common sense while others might just shock you.
The truth is I would be a billionaire if I have the right answer to that question.
The biggest mistake I have found out through my journey in MLM business is that, we are trying to so hard to control what is beyond our control. When it turn out the way we did not expect, we blame ourselves. This is the most unnecessary burden we carry and if we can get rid of it, we would be happier and be able to enjoy life to the fullest.
I was a victim of this condition and everyday there are many more people being victims as well.
In fact, we are all victims.
In my experience, I invest my time and money but I did not receive any reward from it as I had expected earlier. In the end, I put the blame on myself and I thought that everything is my fault. The truth is, only partial of it is my fault while there are something else that is out of my control. It is also true that we are responsible for our own success but there is something that is just not our fault.
That time, I simply thought that I wasn’t as good as I thought I was going to be. It just did not make any sense when I had put in so much effort and investment but it didn’t turn out well. Naturally, I thought it was all because of me. My downlines were in confusion under my lead and the products I endorse were not attractive enough for them. Of course I didn’t realize all these that time.
The MLM company I joined should have taken some of the blame for the way they thought me in interacting with my downlines. However, being a natural human being, the first thing is to blame yourself. The important thing I want to tell all of you is, it is not your fault when things turn out to be the other way round and not the way you expect. You don’t have to blame yourself for the failure.
Maybe it seems like no relation with keeping downlines but the point is whether your downlines will stay with you or leave is not your fault. It is not like you are trying to get rid of them, which you would not want to do anyway.
Let us see this is a different situation. You make a decision. Once you have make the decision, no one else can change your mind. The decision is final. Now, if you choose to leave your MLM company, what your upline can do to keep you in the company? There is nothing they can do once you have decided to leave.
This is the same rules that apply to your downlines. If they want to stay, they will stay. If they have decided to leave, there is nothing you can do to keep them as your downlines. This is what you cannot control, their decisions. You simply cannot control them whether you want them to join you or leave you. Still, there are ways you can raise the chances to keep them in your team.
There are some tips you can follow to increase the chances of your downlines to stick with you but still there is no guarantee that they will 100% stick with you and it is not your fault if they want to leave your team.
1. Make sure your people move in the right direction.
When people join you as your downline, assign something for them to do. You must keep the active in the group so they can learn a few things on their own. By giving them something to do will keep them interested in the business and begin to start at their pace. The first thing you can ask them to do is to download a copy of the marketing guide and read it. If possible make sure the guide has questions to get them to dig out the answers on their own. Then you can set a game plan through the sponsor.
By doing this, you will be able to learn who is serious and who is not among all your downlines. Usually the people who get in touch with their sponsor are serious about starting the MLM business.
2. Be there when they need you.
You must make sure that you are available for your downlines to make sure they are active. Let them have your contact number so they can call you whenever it is the right time to ask you questions and get advises. You set the right time for them to call you and so you must be there as you suggested.
3. Be responsible.
Let say you make a mistake, you must be responsible for it and apologize. Don’t let the time to sink your mistake. Human beings make mistakes and by apologizing, you are showing a good example to your team so next time if someone else is making mistakes, the person will apologize too. It is not a blaming game but a lesson for growing up and learning.
4. Motivate your downlines.
The best way to keep them stay upbeat and active is by motivating your team. Below are a few ways to motivate them:
First of all, if you have a successful campaign, share it with your team members. Teach then how you do it and how they can do the same.
When someone in your team is doing excellent, let other members know about it so they can learn from each other. It is the best way to motivate other members to do well in their performance and let them know they can do it too.
Even if you don’t have all the answers to their questions, it is important to make your presence there to let them know you are always there for them when they are in doubt. You are also showing that you are doing your part in helping them to get their answers.
Every once in a while, send an email to all your members to let them know what you are thinking and what are your ideas for a successful MLM business. Share information with them and share your passion. Soon, they will see you as the best leader who is not all about money making.
5. Create your own community.
This is able to help your team to maintain and increase their loyalty to your team. You will have mire business when you create your own community. However, you may get more than just business, you will also be getting a community of dedicated individuals that are aiming for the same goal. Strong people need to belong to somewhere and where is better than your own community?
The best way to communicate with all the members of your team, you can use online conference. You can even start a forum and let everyone else contribute ideas and share information. Trust me, soon you will see the benefits of having your own community.
