Three Internet Marketing Tips that you can implement today.

My passion is doing Internet Marketing and specifically helping businesses have a presence on the Internet. This article will give you three Internet Marketing Tips and why it is important to implement them.

The first tip is getting your business listed on the three major search engines; Google, Yahoo and Bing. Why is this becoming more and more important? There is a trend that has been happening over time and it is that people are using the Internet at an increasing rate to do searching for local businesses. They are bypassing the Yellow Pages and going directly to the Internet. The 3 major search engines do you a favor if you are listed with them, by bringing up your listing at the top of page 1 when a person searches for a particular business in a specific city.

An example of such a search is going to Google and typing in Herbs, Belen, NM. What will come up most of the time is a small map and the business listings for that term 'Herbs'. The first listing happens to be for one of my clients.

Now, you may see a listing for your business but unless you have created it or had someone create it, it will more than likely have incorrect information. The biggest error is the location of the pin on the map. It can be very far from where you actually located. All of those errors can be corrected and things like pictures and videos can be added. I would urge you to get your business listed.

The second tip is to create a WordPress Blog for your business. There are many reasons for having a blog over a static web site. One of the criteria that the search engines look for in order to rank your web site higher is that you have constantly changing content at your site. They want to see pertinent articles and information and the more of that you have, it will keep the search engines happy and they will keep coming back.

Blogs allow you, the owner to create what is called a post any time you want. If you are running a special you can put up post about that. If you want to put up a new product and spotlight it is easy to do. If you can use a program like Word then you can make addition and changes to your Blog.

There are plugins for blogs that do most of the work behind the scenes. If you have someone set up a blog then they need to install the best ones help your blog become popular. There are new plugins coming out all of the time and they make blogging easier and more profitable.

The third and final tip is video. You might be saying, No Way. Hear me out. What I am talking about is short videos under 10 minutes that you can then upload to the major video sites. The great thing is that you do not even have to be in front of the camera. You can make a presentation in a program called PowerPoint and then create a video format from there.

The reason for doing videos is because that is what our society responds to the most. We have video everywhere from our homes, jobs, cell phones and in businesses. Videos also will rank well in the search engines. You can use videos to promote yourself or company and drive traffic to your Blog that you created in Tip #2.
