Why Learn Video Marketing?

  • It is easier to stand out among the crowds of marketers on the Internet as an authority. Most people buy people rather than a product because of how they feel toward you.
  • By telling your story, it is easier to build a relationship with your viewers because they get a better sense of who you are. Trust will follow as a result and the possibility of making the sale is improved.
  • Building a huge list of interested prospects is much easier than more traditional forms of marketing.
  • You can take your unique message and share it with the world.

Maria Andros, as the Video Marketing Queen, says that many people who use video are not using it correctly. In her program, she teaches a strong foundation from which anyone can be successful at building an empire. You'll learn how to create a hypnotic and powerful message that is sure to go viral.

Hi, Dianne Thomsen here. I love helping people accomplish their goals. As a small business owner, I have learned to look outside the box for solutions. When I ran into a brick wall in my MLM business, because I ran out of warm market (took me 4 years to do this, so you can say I am a bit of a social butterfly) I tackled learning internet marketing with few computer skills.

I am always willing to get out of my comfort zone to accomplish my dreams of helping others achieve success as beginner internet marketers.

Video Marketing

Hi Dianne,

This is a great view of how video marketing can help make that extra push in our overall marketing efforts. It's easier for people to connect with a face and voice than just what someone writes. It makes us look like normal, approachable human beings.

Thanks for the link to attraction marketing. It's the best way to learn all these techniques, all in one location, in a step by step method.

There Is No Doubt

There is no doubt that video marketing is where it's at. Videos convey your message and add interest.
Key points to remember are make your video as short as possible unless you are teaching someone how to tie their shoes, or other technical aspects.
Also insert power point slides, music and pictures if possible. And as you mentioned Dianne, getting proper video training is a must for those serious at using videos to get their message across.

Using Video

I am one that is very guilty in not using more video. But after reading your article and others it is definitely an area to rethink.

I do believe that video comes much easier to the younger generation than to baby boomers, who have a tendency to be more conservative. Reaching out across the lines is what needs to be done in this quickly changing business.

I know of Maria and she is very powerful. Thank you for bringing up this very important form of information writing and impressing it upon people like me to move forward in video.

Video marketing

A very good article on how to "take advantage of the huge expansion of video marketing as evidenced by the promise of Google’s investment in YouTube for $1.6 million." Good reasons to jump in. but it is important to use it correctly.

Great work Dianne, I've

Great work Dianne, I've always been a fan of video marketing, video learning as well.

It's always a good thing to put a face to your content let alone the fact that you can submit one video to a video hosting program like tubemogul or Trafficgeyser and have that one video submitted to hundreds of video marketing platforms, talk about going viral it's a great way to advertise.

A Great Way to Build Relationships.

Hi Dianne,

I agree with you. Most prospects will buy the person and not just the product. Building a relationship with prospects is critical. Video marketing helps you do that much better than just giving them an article to read.

By using video marketing, prospects can relate to you better. They can get a better feel for who you are. Through a good video, they can see that you understand their concerns and are there to help them.

I highly encourage anyone who is comfortable in front of a camera to go the route of video marketing. But like you said, Dianne, it's critical to do this type of marketing correctly. I also recommend the training source you mentioned.

Great article.

Video with Value

There are a lot of videos being marketed that have very little real valuable. Video does provide the mean for people to get to know, like, and trust us. However it is import to remember why we are doing video marketing, as you say Dianne.

Thanks for the article.

Lots of great feedback here

Video marketing, like you all agree, is a very important part of building an internet presence, but it is not for everyone. Get the right training and try it to see if you could be the next video marketing princess or prince.
Try it. You might like it. It really can be lots of fun.

Video can be good but be careful

Dianne

You make some very good points about the use of video in your marketing. It can get your message out in a better, much more visible way. People will tend to connect with you more, feel more comfortable with you, and maybe trust you a little quicker.

In order to achieve this though, it is very important, as in most things to take your time and do a good job. A poorly done video will quickly turn people off.

If you decide that video should be part of your marketing portfolio, take the time to learn and do it properly. Do a practice run and get some honest feedback before you post your video.

It is a great idea Dianne, that you point out, that folks learn about attraction marketing. They will then better understand what it takes to make a video that will attract customers.

What to say...

I never know what to say on a video. I do get flashes of inspiration, but by the time I get to my camera the flash has ran away!

Dotty Scott — Wed, 11/11/2009 - 9:57pm

Deer in Headlights

I will be siding with Dotty, above. I find video uncomfortable and cannot relax enough for others to see who I really am. I do like hearing how people immediately latch on to what works for them and become such an inspiration for others, like Maria.

Short and Sweet

I agree with Marie's comments that marketing videos be short, and as David says, "sweet" meaning good technique, good information, and your warm personality conveyed through the delivery.

I don't think we have to put ourselves in front of the camera always, maybe never!!!

Anyway, video is certainly a skill for me to build on.

Thanks Dianne.
