Introducing the first season of the You Inc Star Video Challenge!
Join hosts Richard Bravo and Joyce Penner in this exciting new video marketing adventure.
note: We'll also be participating in the challenge as contestants. (that ought to be interesting to watch)
The You Inc Star Video Challenge is a 7 week video marketing intensive focused on helping up and coming entrepreneurs and leaders in the industry of their choice, to implement one of the most powerful marketing platforms on the internet today.
The challenge is open to everyone in any industry (not just network marketing).
There is no fee to participate, other than expenses for equipment, software or services that you may choose to use during the challenge. But those will be completely optional and not required.
However we do recommend that you have a semi-decent camera. It doesn't have to be fancy. A Flip or zi8 type camera will do just fine.
So here it is...
We would like to open a very special invitation
to the Better Networker community to participate.
Here's a brief overview of how the challenge is going to work:
1. Each week participants will be given a theme and expected to post a video every day of that week related to the theme.
2. Participant videos will be rated by audience comments, as well as Special Guest Judges.
3. Special prizes will be awarded to the top rated challengers
Aside from being a fun project, our goal is to help you break into video marketing and at the end of the challenge have a robust video portfolio to use in your online marketing efforts.
So if you're someone relatively new to video marketing or have been wanting to break into video ...

I think this is a such a great idea. It's a shame that people apparently seem to have missed your article today :(
I really can't wait to see what comes out of this whole "competition." I really think of it less of a competition and more of a challenge because I think everyone that participates is going to grow.
How many participants are you at right now?
I announced the challenge on my show today, so maybe you can pick up another participant or two from that. I guess we will see :)

I'll be checking out the episode.
At it's core, it is a challenge just like Joyce originally posted.
The competition part is the layer to help motivate everyone.
A shameless bribe with expectations of prizes to help everyone have something to shoot for.
Something that helps that "surface level" human attraction to bling, to help everyone in the challenge be exited about "winning."
In my mind though, everyone that takes the challenge is a winner.
It's going to take guts, dedication, discipline and for some, like myself, a real drive to conquer personal fears and step in front of the camera and take it to the next level in our business.
It's going to be a fantasic journey for everyone I'm sure and I can't wait to get started.

I can't wait
Although I was literally sick to my stomach with nerves while filling out the application, I did it!
I'm finally going to face my completely irrational fear of doing video....and I'm going to do it in front of everyone.
Am I crazy? Probably- but oh well!

Natasha I've been following your material here and I can honestly say that you are going to CrushIt!
Overcoming fears is one of those steps that separates the true players.
Video has been that "final frontier" for me that I know I've let hold me back for far too long.
The cool thing is, there's almost 30 people that will be by your side in the challenge to help you succeed!

I want to thank both Joyce and Richard for putting this into action. What they have done is no small task. The structure that has been created for this Video Challange is Top Notch.
It was not that long ago that there was a product floating around the internet called the 90 day challenge that was based on a person making videos and they charged like $1,000 for the structure. Just think about that.
