Wanna Be Internet Marketing Companies Will Steal Your Dreams
When using an Internet Marketing Company to promote your website, don't get taken for thousands of dollars like I have in the past. There are things that you need to understand becuase I have been an online marketer for over a decade. This will help you clear up the wishy washy gut feelings you are getting about the Internet Marketing company that you are going to obtain services from. Do no ignore 1 thing on here of you are going to get scammed with nothing to defend on your behalf.
1. Ask if you are provided with a list each month of where all your links are placed. GET THIS IN THE CONTRACT or do not do business PERIOD. You have a right to this. This is your sword on the battle field against short comings. Perhaps one day you need to take a link off the internet because it started a problem and got you sued and you had no access to it? You do not know what is said by these so called "Professional Marketers" who say they are doing your contracted work. Internet Marketing takes time and hard work. There is no real easy way of doing the grind work especially the boring things like directory submissions, article submissions, and bookmarking. Efficiency tools can help, but still a grind. Anyone who cannot provide you with a monthly list of the links they have placed your website link on most likely is stealing your money. Quality or Crap? Solid professional Internet marketing companies have this for their clients and so do people you can outsource your work to on websites like Odesk.com where its cheap for specific services to be done. This is the best way to do it. Link relevancy and link popularity along with Page Rank and Alexa rank determine the real value of a link. Quality control is priceless. Back to the list of links. A lot of these "Wanna Be Internet Companies" will list hard grunting tasks to do such as directory submissions and social bookmarking because it takes to much of their time. Lets cut that out from now on and get you on over to Vile Silencer so you can see the list of “secret directories” they use.. http://info.vilesilencer.com/ . Don’t even settle for a list of website that any company has given you. You want the list of links that shows you where your website is placed at PERIOD. Web directories have different category page ranks. Not all are of all the same value so they cannot all be special.
2. Ask the Internet marketing company how they measure success with their company. Ask them to see some of the work they have produced for their clients. If they do not disclose that information, then what grounds do they hold that they are successful? Exactly! Nothing is too secretive to keep hidden on the internet. If it is a secret it should not be on the Internet get it? Make sure you understand the Alexa and Page Rank. Beware of Internet marketing companies less than 100K traffic on Alexa with WORLD WIDE statistics not United States alone. I am sick and tired of people claiming to be so good at what they do with no proof. Alexa Rank on their own website will give you a pretty good idea of what you can expect your ranking to not surpass with theirs.
3. Never believe anyone on the Internet that brags about how much money they have made on the Internet. Immediately then and there you should ask for proof. I hear people saying things like "I have been able to generate more than 20 Million Dollars online". If this is true, why are they still doing Internet Marketing? Why will they not provide proof instantly? Surely there would be enough PROOF of this online from ton of satisfied customers over the year’s dont you think? You would find hundreds or they would own a social network to create that kinda cash online through selling advertisement. The truth? People who are rich do not tell the world their earnings. We live in a society that will get you kidnapped and killed for bragging to the world about how much money you make. I have never once heard true millionaire brag about how much money he made to the general public with in the first 10 minutes of getting to know them. They just do not do this, butthese little scam artists do. Anyone who is telling you how much money they have made is insecure and just telling you how much money they do not have or how much money they wish they had. It’s as simple as that. Use your head with dealing with online gurus who claim that they are rich. Everyone want to feel like they are looking up to someone with authority and power. Rich people do not tell the general public what they make.
4. Ask how big the company is? A lot of time the sales person on the phone is the same person who is creating your videos and writing your articles. How is that for professional quality? There are a lot of so called Internet Gurus out there that try to make a name for them online and then when you get services from them you are actually getting services from some guy in a 3 world country who they handed the work to screw up on. A lot of times these Internet marketing companies will screw up immediately in the very beginning of your project because the attention that you think you are getting for the “Online Guru” been given to someone who has no more than a JR high school vocabulary. Always ask the Internet Marketing Company if they hire reputable 3rd party outsourcers that are located in the United States. The so called “Online Guru” will try to not let you know what they do, and in this case do not work with them. You are looking for quality and reputable sources that do not make mistakes over and over and over.
5. There are no Internet Marketing companies who have connections to Google. Google SPECIFICALLY STATES THIS ON THEIR WEBSITE. If someone tells you that their company has connections to Google run like hell and report this to Google. They should be working at Google. This is a collection of the smartest programmers in the world. Matt Cutts is the spokesman for Google Marketing. http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/ That is their special connection to Google that anyone can access for free. If they did have connections to Google do you really then they would risk their relationship with Google by telling their clients this? Beware of any company that says that they have connections to the DMOZ. This is the directory that Google uses. I have been through this one before with a scum Internet Marketing salesman who told me they had connections to the DMOZ
6. The salesman - A lot of SEO companies hire salesmen who will do and say just about anything they can in order to get the sale from you. Slap these guys around with what you need to have stated in the contract. These scum bags do not care about you future nor your wants and needs. A lot of times what they do is mention special marketing features that you will get done towards your campaign, and then once you pay money they will say that you didn’t pay for the UPGRADED features that you thought you were getting. Remember these are salesmen at the company, not true professional Internet marketers, otherwise they would be financially set if they were true professionals rather than being on the phone trying to rush their clients through a non-descriptive contact. These are the people that will lie and steal your dreams from you. These online dream stealers usually end up doing different positions at the company they are working at because there are no true professionals who are a professionals in one specific area. I do suggest that you RECORD ALL PHONE call conversations you have with an Internet marketing salesman if you are going to be doing any business. I repeat ALL PHONE CALLS WITH INTERNET MAKETING SALES MEN NEED TO BE RECORDED which is the best proof you have to work with when the Internet Marketing company starts telling you things differently one ypou get the campaingn stated. .
7. Make sure the Internet Marketing Contract you sign lists everything you think you are getting in the sales call presentation in the contract. Again! MAKE SURE THE INTERNET MARKETING CONTRACT YOU SIGN LISTS EVERYTHING YOU THINK YOU ARE GETTING IN THE SALES CALL IN FULL DETAIL. These sales phone calls and the contracts need to be congruent and add up. Do not settle for their contact that they shove in your face. You want specific that they are going to execute. This is an old trick used by these low life weasels. They will hype up everything on the phone and then give you a contract that lists none of the actual specific details, there for you are arguing with a contract that doesn't explain anything about their specific duties. This is the scam right here. Anyone telling you to look at the specifics of your contract when their isn’t any is stealing you money.
8. Make a time line of all the infractions on a blog that you set on private for the proper authorities which is smart. Include Video, Screen Shots, and create detailed information about why they are screwing up. Be truthful about everything you say. Point out trend patters of delay, confusion on your end and what does not make sense and why it does not make sense. There is nothing illegal about saying anything that is 100% true if you can back it up in the court of law. After your contract is done this can be a very powerful tool as to getting your money back or potentially filing a lawsuit for damages, or even getting a company shut down for inadequacy.
9. Another scam is the Keyword Scam. Where they tell you they will get you ranking in top spots on Google for those keywords you are interested, and then when you look at the contact you will see that their only job is to get your keywords indexed in the search engines, but there are no specifics on which spot you will be ranked on. This is usually their salesmen lying to you up telling you that they can get your keywords on the top 10 of Google. Beware of Internet marketing companies that have you look at other SEO companies and what they charge. This is a trick used to try to get you think that you are getting an incredible deal.
10. NEVER let internet marketing companies into your website. If you have a programmer let them do the work the Internet Marketing company requests to be done. If it is on page SEO work, have the Internet Marketing company send you the information to post on your website or have them walk you through, but just do not hand over your company to the hangs of strangers even if there is a contract. Most marketing is external from your website so do not let them in there. You risk idiots messing things up and you risk doorway pages being created to their website. Do not let these Internet marketing company place links on your website. The only thing you need to place on your website is Google analytics and Google has a very easy step by step tutorial they use.
