What Is MLM and Why Should We Even Care?

MLM stands for Multi Level Marketing. This is a concept that started over 50 years ago. Around that same time the franchise concept also started.

Why should we care? Because MLM allows anyone, with no skills to start their own business with very little money. Since you can start your own business with very little money there is also very little risk.

But you can also start with very little, and make an absolute fortune. No place else can you go, start a business, and make this kind of money. But just like any business, If you don't go to work, then you will not succeed. Period!!

Multi Level Marketing started around the same time as the franchise concept. A franchise is starting a business like Subway sandwiches, or a McDonald's. Subway takes $80,000 to just open the store. Then you have to pay for employees. Put aside profits for advertising. Your in the hole for a lot of money before you actually get to keep any money for yourself. And don't even think about McDonald's franchise. You will need over a $1,000,000 just to get your store off the ground.

When MLM first got started, they said lets take the franchise concept but take out all the money and risk problems. A multi level company will start, take care of all the employees, handle the marketing, and make sure all the legal stuff is correct.

You as a new distributor for that company, get to represent the products and share the opportunity with word of mouth advertising. Word of mouth advertising is the best there is, and it's free. Just like when you go see a really good movie. The first thing you do istell others how good that movie was.

When you are involved in your MLM company, the first thing you do is try the products. When you like them you tell others. As you tell others you can start to build up a team. Your team will duplicate your efforts and then multiply. As it grows you pick up percentages off the efforts of your team. And that is the exact reason we care about MLM.

But MLM has not had the best of reputations. Im sure you have heard from one of your friends, dad's, uncle's, second cousin who tried one of those MLM deals and failed. Instead of actually trying to make the MLM company a success, we listen to others who gave it a try, and it didn't work.

There are 2 things that will make you a success in MLM. One is your belief in yourself that you can make it work. People join a MLM company because they think you will help them with their dreams. If your belief is not 100%, people will sense this and not want to join you.

The second part to make your MLM business a success, is the amount of action you take. Building an MLM business takes talking to a ton of people. Your going to get people that say no, but when you do find those that say yes. Then your off to building a huge downline, and making the big bucks. But it all is determined by your actions.

Multi Level Marketing is the only opportunity for the average person to start with no skills and make a fortune. Do you want to have more time? Do you want more money?
