Landon, I see it all the time. People acting like they are so successful in network marketing even though they aren't. Your right they just don't get what it's all about. I have read a few really good articles on this matter the last couple of days, but yours is pretty good too :)

Yes, I am dealing with this in my business. I thought that I had to pose myself but could not stomach it. How can you edify someone you do not really know. You cant. People see through it. I need to be me.

In all honesty when I first read Mike Dillard's Magnetic Sponsoring I thought that I had to be some guru to ever make a difference in this business, but then I realized that there were people that knew a lot less than me making money in network marketing. They were just helping who they could when they could. That is what I am trying to do. I know i do not know everything, but if I can teach someone at least one thing then I guess I am helping that person out. It is really not that difficult to know something that someone else does not in network marketing these days. There are so many people out there just trying to make a quick buck that never really take the time to invest in themselves.

What if..?

What if you literally have no experience at all in network marketing. I just started in network marketing. How am I suppose to teach anyone anything.

Why are network marketers such great liars?

Theresa, first, you've recognised that there is a need for you to learn. But did you know, that you are right now, in the most valuable position ever?

Why?

How many today feel same? How many are just starting off? How many want to see documentations, steps of someone starting off, and saying..

"Well gang, I have started network marketing and I know sh@t but I'm going to share what I learn along the way, because if I can freaking do it, and I got no idea where to start, then by God, so can you! But first, let me share how it all began and then you'll see me test what works, what doesn't, in all plan honesty, without the fluff.."

How many you know, what to hear an honest voice like yourself?

Plenty.

You see Theresa, I got courses I am doing on powerpoint. Because I learnt to use powerpoint. I learnt another skill, how to create videos cause some bored the heck out of me. So, I teach that too because marketer's need to learn how to tell a story than a pitch.

I bet you know something about excel, or powerpoint, or something that someone would like to learn, within your market.

If not..

Then Attraction Marketing is also about chasing the knowledge. So, you are in the most valuable position.

You can paint a story right now, document your steps. Let the world see you grow and see the honesty they hunger for. Use what you have. The nothing you said you know....it actually a gold mine in my opinion.

Share your thoughts, that relate to your audience. I'm sure there are plenty who are starting off and would like to read from someone honest, transparent, and most of all starting from day one.

Your voice will give someone hope.

I don't know if theresa has been on here to read your reply yet or not, but I will PM right after this and let her know.

You could not have said it more perfectly. Most people think that they have to be some "guru" to share anything with anybody. When in reality if you can just teach a person one thing that they do not know already, you are now valuable to them.

There is no need to lie, and pretend to be something when you aren't because most likley you already know something that someone else doesn't.

And if there is absolutely nothing that you know that can benefit someone else, well then you are in the perfect place to learn.

I can't wait for the ABN to open up. I am getting pretty excited to learn from the greats.

But then again, there is a TON of great info that you can get from the BN completely free.

That's really why I like it here so much.

You have all types of people here.

I have the people here that I can help out, I have the people here that I can really just talk to about anything at all, and I have the people here that really give me a schooling.

Very true Landon, you don't need to pretend. I mean, we all have skills in some way, before we stepped into world of Network Marketing, Internet Marketing and Attraction Marketing.

We are ALREADY experts in a certain field. So why not use these things to communicate, to engage the audience in our niche. For example..

My skills of expertise before MLM, Attraction Marketing are..

Making step by step videos, so I looked at beginners who want to build what they learnt from books, seminars.

So I said, "hey, you're the expert, your the one learning it...but now you need to build it, step by step."

I hit a freaking goldmine.

I literally LOVE doing them. It's a passion for me. I just addicted doing step by step videos. Breaking things down to the bone and showing each stage.

Because as I do these things, I also seen the power of teaching. The teacher also learns all over again. That's the beauty of giving.

You see, there is always someone, who just started. There is always someone who doesn't know everything. No one does.

There is always someone who just even needs someone to listen and see they need to know how to build a wordpress blog.

I don't know how many I emailed here on BN. Saying..

"Hey dudes! I need step by step videos from the moment someone buys a domain name. And then shows the password and name blurry it. Then show how to install wordpress.org and then build the website to this template and design I have...and..

..I'LL PAY!"

Guess what. None replied. Hence I know, many losing business right now. And this showed me one thing..

I don't need to be an expert but one step more discipline, to reply to queries and see how I can provide such a service to another business owner.

There are so many gaps man, so many things we can give cause many are messing up right now. They so busy moving traffic and they got guys like me pming them, emailing them saying..

"Hey, you ain't got this one but look, give me it and I'll PAY!" But no reply.

LOL. You got to laugh Landon.

So Theresa, you are in a moment of gold mine. I promise you this, success will give you what you deserve.

Just see what you need to learn. Choose one part - SEO, PPC, Social media etc, to move traffic and master one.

Learn as much as you can. The moment you start, and moved 10 steps ahead..YOU HAVE NOW GOT SOMETHING TO TEACH!

Because the Crap people teach today, if you do with heart, genuine, and...you lead people to more solutions which they pay for...you got instant cash as well.

Man, what a position you are in Theresa. What an amazine position. I so envy you in a good way because I remember that day. It's amazing if you see it with the right eyes and heart.

And as Landon was saying, you have BN here to learn, to communicate, to build friends who will be there for you for the rest of your life and...who would like to see you succeed.

I promise you, those who will stand out in time and last longer, are those who master a skill. They will be honest, genuine, transparent and sincere.

You'll do fine Theresa. You've started with right questions. Now learn that one skill and use it to teach and create a course.

Look at what it is your niche in Network Marketing needs. You'll do fine. Learn the skill to indentify a need, to test it out and for it to say..

"Theresa, yes, there is a need here, the competition is missing it. You can attract this crowd. Test it out.."

And because you learnt the skill, you'll know what to do, how to do it, how you gather the info for your business, how to use that info to create the course or something to the prospects needs.

And you do it, and money happens.

Now....you can teach it.

That's Attraction Marketing. In it's most excellent form. Becoming a leader.

Leader = You learn the skill. Master it. Use it. Reveal results. Teach it. And to teach the master skills you've learnt, you filter out tire kickers who'll pay for the principles you've learnt.

Marketing skills = to master to generate traffic, and turn traffic into paying customers. Without this, no money is made.

Again, this skill you learn, show results, teach it. Give but for extreme knowledge, people pay.

Now you got value.

Notice...it starts with mindset, leadership is recognising...you need to learn consistently and be a master of your trade.

Techniques will always change.

Principles, truth, honesty, integrity, will never change. Hold your principles high and tight in your hard, like a burning coal because hype is strong on internet. And you maybe tempted to lie, hype and do what most do.

Hold tight to principles no matter what. Give your life to principles. They shape the leader not techniques. Principles do. Techniques always change through time.

Who need's this article that I just wrote, when you have all of this great information right here in the comments. Who needs attraction marketing "how to's" when you have Adam's real life example of exactly what attraction marketing is.

Here is Theresa who is obviously just starting out, and I do not mean to be-little her because there is nothing wrong with that. At one point in time we were all complete newbs :).

But then here is Adam who obviously knows a thing or two about this indusrty yet, he is willing to take time out of his day, that I am sure he could have been using to make his step by step videos and get more of an "instant profit", and teach Theresa who is just starting out.

He does not treat her like she is "below" him just because she is starting out. He treats her just like he has known her his whole life.

I don't think that he is giving her this amount of help because he thinks that now all of a sudden she is going to call him up and join his business opportunity. I don't think he put a paypal button at the beginning of that comment to make her pay for the reply.

He is not even for sure if she has came back to read his first comment to her, yet here is taking time out of his busy day to lend a helping hand to someone that he may never make a dime off of.

Talk about giving with out want..

This is a perfect real-life example of attraction marketing at it's best. He did not come in here acting like some guru that knew everything claiming to the be the riches man in the world (I'm not saying he's not :)), but he just came in and gave her the advice that she needed to hear.

Because everything he said is exactly right. She shouldn't make the mistake of trying to learn this whole industry all at once; it would make someone go crazy!

It is clear to me that she already understands that you really have to help other people to get what you want in this indusrty, which is why Adam told her the easiest way that she could start doing that.

MASTER A SKILL.

After you have one skill mastered, all of a sudden you have a valuable skill.

Maybe not a skill that anyone needs to learn on the BN right this second, but like Adam said there is ALWAYS some new looking for what you have.

And the good thing about it is: Thanks to the internet they can now find you :)

So Theresa, when you read this make sure you give Adam here a big thank you.

New to game as well.

I am new to networking marketing. Though, the first program that I bought was actually Magnetic Sponsoring.

Then with Mike's advice I went and grabbed Think and Grow Rich. I read that as well. I still don't know a lot about marketing but you knw what I am learning it as I go.

Recently just finished Ultimate Guide to Google Adwords. Why? To gain that knowledge about the industry.

Anyways I strayed from why I started my reply. A couple days ago I was talking to a customer. They are new to marketing as well, and asked me

"What can I offer people online that they are willing to buy?"

I responded "You have a knowledge that many in this industry and several not even in the industry wish they had."

You see this gentleman, I was talking to is into video games and when I mean into games. Through talking with him and getting to know him.

I found out how he runs a forum based around online games and give secrets and hints about these games.

I asked him "You know how to use HTML editors and do you know how to create banners etc for your web forum?"

All that knowledge that he picked up to drive his hobby was just sitting dormant.

He did not even once think that he could write articles and ebooks about how to use these skills and make money off of it.

Sitting back and thinking that you have no knowledge about network marketing. You may want to think a little more.

Know how to knit? Write it, this is your market. Know how to install crown molding trim write about it. There is target markets for all of us if we just opened our eyes.

He thanked me several times, for opening his eyes into marketing.

This was coming from a newbie telling a newbie about marketing.
I might not be a pro but I am understanding it a bit.
Find our target niche and excel at it.

You made a good choice

You could not have made a better choice for the first course that you bought that is for sure. I wish that would have been my first course; would have saved me a lot of time and agony!

Chris I have to say that you are exactly right. You see so many people go out there and try to master it all. They want to do a little bit of content marketing, they want to do a little bit of blogging, they want to do a little bit of PPC, they want to do a little bit of video marketing. They want to do a little bit of ever darn thing out there, and they end up just plain sucking at it all.

Like what you said it's about finding that niche. Maybe advertising on the video game forums would not be the best place for network marketers, and so I will relate what you said a bit to us MLM'ers.

Instead of trying to master it all at once (impossible!); you need to master it one at a time. Get really good at just one thing. It does not matter what it is.

If you have some extra cash, master PPC marketing.

If you love to write, master content marketing.

If you are the most outgoing person in the world, do some YouTube Vids.

Just start off with whatever you are comfortable doing, and master it.

Then you have a skill that you can share with others.

Think about this way..

If I called you tonight and said I am looking to join a new biz opp what skill could you provide for me and my downline that I bring with, what would you say?

Would it be "well uhhhh, I wrote an article once and put it on a blog, and then uhh I made a youtube video in my garage, but then after that IIII!!!, well I lost 100 bucks on google adwords, but I have 10 friends now on Myspace.

Do you think that I would join you?

No way jose!

But now if I called you and asked you the same question except this time you say "We'll im freaking good at article marketing. I write two articles per day for my blog, and I submit another one to Ezine Articles, and i am pulling in over 100 visitors per day to my blog, and getting about 10 leads a day, just writing."

OR

"You know what, I took a grand out of my savings account to master PPC, and I've gotta say I think I did it. I am only paying about 40 cents per click, and I am getting a 10% conversion rate on my capture page. Getting me each lead for only four bucks, and I can get really as many leads per day thatr I want."

Do you think that I would join you now?

If I was looking into a new opportunity, good chances of it.

Now that is not really a huge help to me, I know. But I mean I could start writing out content for his blog too. And really helping him advertise it, and we more than double the traffic in a couple of weeks, and we split the leads.

I would be getting "thoeretically" another 10 leads a day, and I did not have to do any of the "start up" work.

OR

Me and you could make ourself a little co-op on Google Adwords, and I could just pay you every single day to generate leads for me. Now you have extra capital to generate leads, and I have new leads without doing any work.

You are much more valuable to me with a mastered skill than with, wellll nothing ha!
