I don't usually look forward to January. Why? It gets very cold and frosty. We currently have sub-zero temperatures... brrrrr!

So, how can it be your best month?

Here's how...

A new year means new hopes, dreams, and aspirations. But the new year also brings with it an amazing opportunity for your business, especially during the first couple of months of the year.

One of the biggest resolutions people make around the holidays is to find a new job, or to start a new business, and that means a ton of potential leads and prospects for you come January.

  With the world economy far from recovered and more people out of work than ever before, the number of people looking for genuine work from home or business opportunities is phenomenal.

If you’re in the internet marketing world or have an MLM business, then now is the best time of the year to lay a solid foundation for your business.

Now, with so much noise in the marketplace, how do you make yourself stand out from the crowd, and get people to join your business rather than your competitors?

1. Offer Value

It’s been said many times before, but it's very important and I’ll say it again. You have to offer your prospects nothing but value if you’re to stand any chance of winning their vote of confidence (i.e. business).

Bear in mind that yours will probably not be the first business opportunity they’ve explored, and disappointments of the past may have left them cynical. You have to prove to them you really care about their success, and that you’re not simply after their credit card.

Now, you don’t just have to provide value in the form of a free product or giveaway. You can offer value in a host of simple, but powerful ways.

If a prospect emails you, make sure you reply as quickly as possible, and as thoroughly as possible. The trust you can generate by answering an email personally is immense!

How about just filling your blog with helpful material? I’m amazingly proud of my blog, and the resources I provide to my readers at no cost. Yes of course I’d love them to buy my products, but by giving freely of myself, I see a lot of my readers becoming customers.

2. Promote Your Brand

You really need to put yourself out there, if you want to promote your brand and attract targeted prospects. Writing a blog post or two isn’t enough to enhance your business. You need to be in as many of the places your prospects could show up in.

That means blogging, guest blogging, webinars, social media, the works.attract prospects image

Hang out where your ideal prospects hang out: Find out where they network, the websites they visit etc. and join the party — speak their language.

Ask your prospects which social networks they are using, and meet them there. However, do NOT spread yourself too thin across all the social media sites you can find.

So, the more people see you, the more they’ll see you as an authority in your field. Plus, like all forms of advertising repetition and consistency are often the key ingredient to success.

3. Be Sincere

People are highly cynical and weary of hyped up sales chatter. Whilst it’s important to promote your business as positively as possible, you don’t want to come across like another greedy sales person only out for themselves.

Be honest, sincere and transparent at all times. Let people know you’re a real human being with feelings and morals. You want people to be able to identify with you, and feel like you empathise with them.

These are the techniquesthat  I use all the time in my business, and as January sends a flood of biz-op seekers into the market, now is the best opportunity to grow your blog, list and of course, your bottom line.
