Millionaires

It was a report on television and very interesting. A report on various millionaires of our time. The question was "How do you become a Millionaire?" I cannot answer this question and also not give any advice because I just am not a millionaire.

What I write here are only notes I jotted down. I give them over to the best of my remembrance. I saw in the lives of the famous men some worthwhile facets to apply to oneself, with the thought of what will be said over my life.

·         Donald Trump was mentioned.

It is said of him that he made himself popular through his friendly conduct to all his co-workers, no matter what they had for a position in his Enterprises.

Donald Trumps strategy is said to be the bringing of his name into connection with his                      product. He branded, or marketed his own name.

·         Aristoteles Onassis is another well-known person, a man of prestige.

His childhood was not easy and he started off with sixty dollars to one day reach much higher financial goals.  He had 100% passion for what he desired to achieve. At the end of his life he stated " Who ever thinks, with money everything is possible, he only proves that he never had had any!"  Due to much movement in the life of Onassis, the Television Moderator ended with this sentence: "A rich man completely poor"!

·         Oprah Winfrey is the richest African American woman.

She was born in a poor part of America, however a woman of intelligence and very ambitious. Oprah had a dysfunctional home life, but she was encouraged to believe in herself. She has an amazing and moving life story with ongoing success.

Her success, her win, lies in her direct style and sympathy toward the person and through this she brings people to talk about themselves. She markets herself, how she is, in other words, direct marketing.

·         Sir James Paul McCartney gained world-wide fame as a member of The Beatles.

He is a skilful musician. After leaving the Beatles he used his skill as Composer and composed his own songs which brought him his success. He is listed as the most successful composer and musician in the history of popular music.

·         Dietmar Hopp is an entrepreneur and one of the richest Germans.

He was one of the founders of the software firm SAP AG (System Analysis and Program Development). In his youth he always had money more than others and worked hard for it. At an early age he had this desire to become a millionaire.

His strength lies in the sharing of his riches with society.  This liberal way of giving has a special motive: the human dignity and therefore he helps people in need even when others do not understand his actions.

  • Joanne Rowling is creator of the Harry Potter fantasy series.

She is the twelfth richest woman in Britain. She progressed from living on welfare to multi-millionaire status within five years.

Her ability to write fantasy stories started in her childhood. Finding her target audience in children (especially boys) gave benefits to the success of her Harry Potter series.

She had years of difficulty to go through, starting her writings in a café as a single mother during the time her child slept.

Her advice is to give way to Fantasy and not to let anything or anyone get you down.

  • Roman Abramovich is the fifteenth richest person in the world,

known as the owner of the Chelsea Football Club and his involvement in European Football.

Beginning with investing in the black-market he soon enjoyed the thrill of selling his goods. His next step was setting up a company making dolls, eventually specializing in the trading of oil and oil products.

His success is built on having good contacts and realising the power of the introduction of new business possibilities.

  • Silvio Berlusconi was introduced as the richest Italian.

I did not make many notes about him except this one which was mentioned as his tip for success: “just don’t ever get caught”!

However, there are still some points to learn from. The question was “How does one become a millionaire?”

Have a friendly contact with people in all situations

Brand your name, market your name and product

Have 100% passion for what you are doing

Never lose Integrity

Build Prestige

Be ambitious

Find yourself, be yourself, market yourself

Use your skills

Use your personal skills in direct marketing

Have an open heart to share and give

Recognise human dignity

Follow what you can do best, your abilities

Recognise your target audience

Let your steps of success bring a thrill in your life

Have good contacts

Realise the power in new business possibilities

And...what should we do with Mr. Berlusconi’s tip for success?

There are many more tips and taps which help us build our business. What has been written is just taken out of the sleeve after listening to a report on television.

Awesome stuff Nanette!

My own interpretation of becoming a millionair is I want to have a million friends! Network Marketing can allow that dream to happen, not working at the Pizza Hut!

Pizza Hut

You are right,Paul, if you have the skills and abilities....but some have started at the Pizza Hut because there was not the possibility perhaps of doing network. But, even without the Pizza Hut we may still have a long way to be a millionaire....or, perhaps you are one already.

Still, with your million friends that's a great deal. I see my millions in my five children. Not as to what they bring me in dollars, but what their lives have meant to mine. A good thought of yours. And I think it will bring more happiness when we compare with some millionaires. Or?
