Mind Control Marketing and The Ferny Effect
What do Ferny Ceballos, Mark Joyner and Mike Dillard all have in common? "The Ferny Effect" is nothing short of full-scale mind-control marketing.
A tempest has been brewing over the controversial "missing chapter" in Mark Joyner's MinControlMarketing book titled, Brainwashing: Genuine Mind Control in the Extreme. Mark takes 12 little pages, and blows the lid off what it takes to create a cult-like following - in just about any setting - and how to protect yourself as well.
The chapter is the icing on the cake of an otherwise amazing book. People have been trading dog-eared copies of the original, out-of-print version on eBay and Amazon for years at upwards of $200 a piece.
Seriously, it's THAT good.
According to Mark, there are 3 elements to create a cult-like following without creating a cult:
1. Voluntary Participation
Obviously, anyone that chooses to do business with you meets the first criteria, but some might argue that autoship programs and the like are akin to coercion. The difference, I think is in the approach. Persuading participation in programs like these will help your bottom line, even out your cash flow, and stabilize your business. The key is perception. When your clients believe they are voluntarily participating in your program, your cult-like following will grow. If they feel the slightest bit of pressure to perform, you can be sure, you'll be seen as in a more negative light.
2. Love of a Product or Thing
Are your products buzz-worthy and irresistable? Does quality far surpass the price of the thing? What about service before during and after the sale? How easy is it to do business with you? All of these elements combine to determine whether people love what you have to offer - or not. When people fall in love with a product, it's exponentially easier to sell to them - and generate referral and repeat business.
3. Inclusionary, rather than exclusionary of "outsiders"
There are people that are un-initiated to your products/services, as well as a few that just aren't impressed with what you offer. Not everyone can or will use what you sell. How do you treat them? Are you "shunning" them at every turn, badmouthing the competition and their product users? Or are you respectful, open, and appreciative of the diversity that "makes the world go round" when it comes to network marketing? "A cult shuns the non-believer", says Joyner. But cult-like followings develop in a forum of acceptance, diversity and welcome.
When you implement these strategies, your public following will boom.
Take for example, what I call "The Ferny Effect", so named for Fernando "Ferny" Ceballos, and the following he's created here and at AttractionMarketingFormula.com. He wasn't the originator of this concept, as he was an early disciple of Mike Dillard, and the massive following Mike's built with Magnetic Sponsoring.
Both are prime examples of how to create an almost cult-like following, much in the same way Mark Joyner describes.
Neither forces you to buy into their theories, products or philosophies of lead generation, yet people clamor for their insights, wisdom and experience in creating effective results "yesterday".
Ferny lauds Dillard's products for their effectiveness, acumen and legitimacy, and praises the end results not because of residual compensation, but because they work.
Likewise, Ferny's fans admire his talent at sharing with others, freely and openly, some of his secrets that others would probably like to see him keep on an exclusive basis.
Referral and repeat business is not uncommon in climates like this. In fact, it's almost a given.
But the final piece of the cult-like following of The Ferny Effect is the feeling of welcome and acceptance for all people willing to approach their offerings respectfully. You can either take it or leave it. There's no bashing, name calling, slamming or other misfit behaviour. At all times, Ferny and Dillard are quite content to agree to disagree - and even welcome scrutiny as a means of constructive improvement of their offerings.
This is a comprehensive deomnstration of mind-control marketing at it's best. They've got you wrapped by choice, not coercion. And it's not a BAD thing, either. Fans of Mike and Ferny will espouse their good-natured demeanor, their high-level abilities, and most importantly, their willingness to help.
What are you waiting for? Go "find yourself a herd", and create your own Ferny Effect!

The jig is up...
LOL. You got me, Lisa...
The jig is up. My mind control secrets have been revealed.
All this time, people thought I was just giving
stuff away. ;)
Dang! And right before I was about to begin my
surprise coup of the Magnetic Sponsoring community.
Oh well, back to the drawing board.
Thanks, Lisa. I'm flattered.

I knew it...
I think Ferny has me hypnotized or something. No wonder I read everything he writes! ;-)
Great articles!
But wait! There's more...
This article is actually a mind control experiment itself. I'm not going to give it away here, but in a week or two, look for a follow up article that reveals the "aftershocks" of The Ferny Effect. If I'm right, there'll be all kinds of people trying to tap your "evil genius" shortly, Ferny. ;D

Nice!
You mean my coup will still be possible?!?!?
Eeeeeexcellent.....
::taping fingers like Mr. Burns::

Yep, we are all 'groupies'
The 'Ferny effect' is possible for all. He learned it from Mike, as did the rest of the gang here at MS. Which means we all can, (given time) mastermind our own 'coup'. Watch out Mr Ceballos. Your evil plans may be thwarted yet! ;D
