40's--50's--60's Something? You are no longer employable. Hurray!
Being 40 and above is a special time in life, it means you have probably paid your dues, learned some skills, and have the maturity to handle your finances, family, and challanges that crop up.
One thing I've noticed since I turned 50 something, I am no longer employable in today's job market!
Good for me! Now I am forced to build my own fortune, and not someone elses. No longer under thumb, I am well on my way to Owning my Life! Knowing that I must produce or live on the streets, believe me I am all about putting the activity to make it happen.
I have an ill feeling in my stomach just thinking about working a J.O.B. Getting up at 4am, even worse, working nights, leaving the family behind, you're spouse working and the kids are raised by the TV. I pray you will perservere and create your own freedom, your own legacy...
If you work in the job market, be forewarned, you are not secure, you are not safe, and as we all know, you are never going to get paid what your worth, or ever have a chance to live your dreams. No one is immune to the times, no matter what the age or experience level.
So how long will you sacrafice your happiness, family, children, and prosperity? Times are uncertain, and the longer you wait, the more difficult it becomes. You are just a warm body filling a position in some corporate cog wheel, you are a number. You are disposible as the plastic bags you see floating all around the freeway.

It is scary for sure
Hi Paul, I'm very close to 50 and it's scary to think what will happened to me. I am very computer savvy, lately I've been learning the hard way that I'm not internet savvy, making all kind of mistakes, lost a lot of money also. If it wouldn't be for a small disability check I would be living in a cardboard box by now. The internet offers all kind of get rich quick program, I know that doesn't exist for sure, so I'm trying to learn all I can so I can get part of my life back anyway. I know it will be a long process but I'm up for it. Has always you tell it has it is, good writing Paul.
