History And Origins:

• Enrich Enrich International, a multi-level marketing company, was established in 1972 and sold to Royal Numico in 1999. It was headquartered in Orem, Utah, and a popular product was EnRich & Thin. Its main products were health food, vitamin, and mineral supplements. Royal Numico merged Enrich International with Rexall Showcase in 2001.

• Rexall Showcase Rexall Showcase International was the direct marketing division of Rexall, which originated as Rexall Drugstores in 1903. It was headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida. A company named Sundown acquired the Rexall Drugstore trademark in 1985 and continued to manufacture supplements as Rexall-Sundown, with no relationship to the remaining chain of Rexall drugstores. Shortly after, Rexall Showcase was made as a direct marketing organization. Numico acquired Rexall Sundown in 2000, which included Rexall Showcase, and merging Rexall Showcase with Enrich to form Unicity Network in 2001.

• Unicity Network After Royal Numico created Unicity Network, the company appointed Richard Bizzaro, formerly of Weider Nutrition, to be CEO of Unicity Network from 1999 to 2002. Numico began splitting up the Rexall divisions and the direct marketing division in 2003, selling the name Rexall-Sundown to NBTY, a US vitamin company, and the Unicity Network division was to be sold to Activated Holdings, a privately held company which owns Shaklee. The deal fell through, however. In 2003, Gateway Distributors Ltd also bid Royal Numico to purchase Unicity Network. Unicity Network was eventually sold to two members of its management team, and its name changed to Unicity International in 2003.

• Unicity International In July 2003, Royal Numico divested Unicity Network. Unicity was purchased by internal management, and renamed itself to Unicity International, Inc.

Stewart Hughes was named president of Unicity International on May 1, 2005.

• Products Unicity sells products in the categories of weight management, nutrition, and personal care. Products are distributed through independent distributors. Bios Life and Bios Life Slim are two flagship products for Unicity. In 2011, Unicity introduced Bios Life Matcha, a fortified green tea blend.

• Additional information In 2010, Unicity International won 6 awards for advertising at the 31st Annual Telly Awards, including an "I Am Immune" award.

What Is MLM Marketing? We have talked about why I consider them to be one of the best multi level marketing companies, now let's back up for a minute and explain what is MLM marketing and how it works.

Take a look back when this company sold from their Rexall Drug Stores. The product would have to be formulated by a manufacturer and the manufacturer would mark the products up in order to make a profit, and then sell them to the drug store. Then the drug store needs to pay their rent and utility bills, taxes, and many other overhead items. They would also need to pay their employees, right? That would be us, the consumer paying for what it takes to get a product from formulation into our homes. With MLM marketing, many companies make the products themselves, and they are shipped directly from the warehouse to us, the end user. This eliminates a lot of overhead, and instead of paying all of this out they pay us for referring people to them. Put in simple terms it goes like this. Take a product that costs 25 cents to make. The manufacturer marks it up to $1 and sells it to the company. Then the company marks the price up to $2 and sells it to a store. Then the store marks it up to $4 and sells it to us. In the end, the traditional way of doing things means we pay $4 for something that costs 25 cents to make.
