In Defense Of ‘Lotions, Potions and Pills’

Not a lot of fancy keyword research here…this one is from the heart.

I love to see passion and enthusiasm for an MLM.  Some love the product…some love the business, but I’m especially captivated by those who came to MLM as product lovers first.

When you use something and get a favorable result there is something pure and sincere about your product story.  There is a passion and enthusiasm that isn’t duplicatable or fabricatable (spell check says those aren’t words…but I’m doin’ the writin’ here).

For a while it was popular to dis nutrition and wellness MLMs by dismissing them as “Lotions, Potions and Pills”…

I have to admit, it was catchy!

But silly…

As a business model, those “Lotions, Potions and Pills” MLMs are the icons of the industry and still the domain of the really, really big earners in MLM.

Look…maintaining a retail customer base is always a challenge when your product involves discipline.  People struggle trying to balance what they want with what they want now and sticking to a wellness regimen is often abandoned to the whim of the moment.

It’s lineal income in every sense of the word…

But it’s also a proving ground and ‘farm league’ for great distributors…

And something more important:

Quality of life.  You get to make a real difference in people's quality of life.

I was hoping to coin a catchy phrase here…but the bottom line is that all the wealth in the world is worthless if you aren’t healthy enough to enjoy it.

Developed countries are all developing an obesity problem right along with their economy and wellness and nutrition MLMs offer the healthy solution they need with the convenience they demand.

Me?

I married into it…but became a convert when I lost 42lbs of fat, added 7lbs of lean muscle, got off reflux meds and dodged cholesterol meds…

My entire family history is plagued with chronic disease related to obesity…

And I think of my mom…

Obesity killed my mother.  During her life she tried all the stupid, wreckless ways to lose weight.  My products could have helped her live a longer, healthier, happier life.

So if phone service, legal aid or silver coins is your thing, rock on!
