In January of 2001, FHTM was initially launched by Paul Orberson.  FHTM has annual sales exceeding $500 million, and the organization's head offices are in Lexington, Kentucky.

FHTM uses a multi-level marketing plan to promote its services and products. The organization has been debt-free since its opening. You can find them operating in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Puerto Rico.  FHTM utilizes popular services and products used by countless customers already. Distributors make commissions for referring customers to various partner companies.

Founder, Paul Orberson, became a millionaire in the network marketing industry while working as a distributor for Excel Communications. A reseller of telephone services, Excel Communications' distributors acquired their commissions by gaining customers who would swap their existing phone service with that of Excel’s. This same idea is in FHTM's business model.

Products and Services

FHTM offers services like home telephone, cell phone, travel and auto clubs, hi-speed internet and home security systems. There are companies like T-Mobile, Alltel Wireless, Sprint, Verizon Wireless and Dish Network. The company also resales a nutritional supplement line, pet supplement, beauty line, and a Travelocity travel discount site.

FHTM's Compensation Plan

As a distributor you will receive a $100 bonus for bringing other reps into FHTM, as well as other bonuses as you are promoted to different levels within the organization. Representatives also receive residual income through commissions on products and services, earning 2-20% on recurring purchases. The plan does have a stair-step breakaway. This means that your best distributors will break away from your organization and you will need to be bringing more reps into the business to allow for attrition.

FHTM Review

Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing is an established network marketing company that has been around since 2001 and seems very stable. Paul Orberson is a proven leader in the network marketing industry, and adds tremendous value to the company. The company is offering services and products that have a market and are in high demand.

There are some negative aspects to consider. Although in high demand, many consumers already have phone plans and TV services in place, many with long-term contracts, which makes the idea of switching to a new service less attractive at times. The company does place significance on training, but many reps have found the training lacking and reached out for help in various places. Getting friends and family to join your business is the way FHTM teaches to grow your business. These marketing methods are still very relevant in today's world of network marketing, and you want to be doing it.  However, with today's technology, we are able to tap into the Internet and create relationships all around the world.  We can get leads online as well as offline.  And many FHTM representatives have been searching out other means of training to get the necessary tools and skills needed for this added online approach.

Is FHTM a Scam?

FHTM is not a scam.  It is a network marketing business, otherwise known as an MLM.  With many of these types of companies out there, it is wise to be diligent before getting into one.   Make sure they have a good strong leadership, a good track record, and a solid product that you can back.  Many of these companies are thought to be scams, because sometimes individuals get a get rich quick attitude about them.   But make no mistake, no matter what MLM you get into, FHTM or another, be prepared to work hard.  These companies can be great vehicles to achieve success, but it does not come with a magic push of a button.  FHTM has had a few lawsuits.  To find out more on this you would need to ask the person you are talking to about joining the company with.
