I don't work for this company, nor am I a distributor. I'm an expert in business and an Internet entrepreneur with a traditional MBA plus an extensive background in MLMs.For over twenty years I've been involved in all sorts of businesses and now put together reviews to help other people make non-biased deisions about business opportunities.

This is a technology company, with an interesting and innovative product sold through a traditional MLM (Multi Level Marketing) distribution system. At the end of this article I will reveal where I think there is a huge opportunity for savvy marketers.

Time and money is required for any new business. Lots of both. MLMs are great because they require less capital to start than franchises or start-up opportunities.  Getting your new business up and running with require a no-quit mentality and a lot of hard work and effort.

The company appears to be solid with a good management team and a lucrative comp plan. I believe there are opportunities here to make a decent income if you understand how to market this company utilizing new technologies and marketing systems.

Reputation

I really found no complaints about this company. A few distributors had switched to a competitor, but there were no complaints specifically about the company.

Looking online at the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) site revealed no outstanding complaints, either.  The Better Business Bureau (BBB) did show a few complaints that had been filed but all were resolved.  I didn't find any action takend against the company by the government or advertising infringements.

Years In Business

The company was founded in 2001. A little longevity, especially for an MLM or Network Marketing company, will make your new business opportunity a safer bet since most businesses fail their first year.

5Linx Review: Management

The company has a management team with expertise in both network marketing, direct sales and of course, technology. Sales expertise is always helpful and this team has it. A business without sales is not business at all. The sales criteria is met with this company.

Craig Jerabeck, CEO and President has been with the company since 2001. Mr. Jerabeck has a vast background in cellular retail sales and management prior to his entrepreneurial experience.

Jeb Tyler, Exec VP of Marketing, brings a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing to the team but the website doesn't really say a lot about his prior experiences. So, I'm assuming his experience isn't as in depth as Mr. Jerabeck's.

Jason Guck is the Executive Vice President of Sales and has many years experience directly associated to Network Marketing which is a good tie in for the corporate team considering their business model. Mr. Guck spent many years in similar organizations.

5Linx Review: Financial Stability

The company is currently on INC 500's fastest growing companies in the country and is privately held. Not a bad sign. They've grown 800% within three years.

5Linx Review: Products

Distributors are able to sell a wide variety of cellular, Internet, and long distance phone services.  Probably known most for their VoIP calling plans. The products and services appear to be of high quality, no complaints were found online.

5Linx Review: Competition

This is a very challenging market to attempt to pull people away from large |established brands and convince them to "switch" in any already established arena.  Fortunately, if these products are marketed properly there coud be a steady stream of residual income opportunity here. Everyone, today, uses these services.

5Linx Review: Compensation Plan

This is a traditional MLM direct marketing model.  Income opportunities are built around residual programs, paid monthly as well as signing on new distributors. There's also a monthly profit sharing bonus pool.

Plus, the top producers also get a leased BMW and benefits similar to traditional corporate executives like vacation time, health care and others bonuses. At the top, the BMW becomes a Bentley in addition to more profit sharing bonuses.

The only downside to this company, that I see, is the top producers are old school marketers: utilizing the 3-foot rule, and the friends and family list of warm contacts all pointed towards hotel or home meetings. Interesting, considering they are selling such a high tech product.

Your goal should be to sign-up one new distributor every single day, which means you need hundreds looking at your opportunity, daily. Always look at the top producers in any direct marketing organization. Talk to them and see what their training is like.  How do they market and train their team? Look for a "blueprint", or a "system" that will get you started step-by-step.

Marketing assistance is provided through materials, conference calls, group trainings and local and national events. I see this with a lot of MLM companies. They pitch the "old school" style of marketing and it's the #1 reason people fail: chasing prospects and attempting to convince them that they want your offering. Strange way to market considering the market they are going after.

Internet Marketing will allow you to generate 50 to 200 leads per day. That's a few hundred people taking a look at your business opportunity, daily.
