XELR8 | I've heard of XELR8 in the past through some references in online periodicals, but I never really paid real attention on the opportunity or the products itself. That all changed when I was on Better Networker today to check out what's going on in the network marketing industry. I found out that XELR8 decided to drop its network marketing wing and decided to go direct sell. That means the corporate of XELR8 has terminated ALL of its distributors.

XELR8 is a health and nutritional supplement company based in Denver. It's popular product, BAZI, is used by world-class athletes as energy enhancement supplements. The chairman Sandy Greenburg took the company public with a reverse-merger deal a few years back.

Because the fact that XELR8 is a public traded company, its management had extra masters to please. Shareholders' opinion, board members' opinion, and distributors' opinion all matters. However, not every decision makers had the experience in running a network marketing company, which means the distributors are often vulnerable to changes that negatively effects their marketing business.

The termination of all XELR8 distributors, I'm afraid to say, shouldn't be too much of a surprise, considering

the history of erratic decision-making from the corporate.

BAZI was originally intended to be part of a lineup of products offered by XELR8 among its best selling legacy products. XELR8 corporate decided to discontinue its legacy products for the network marketing component while retaining its direct selling operations. That means customers could continue receiving the legacy products, but XELR8 distributors do not receive commissions for it.

That was the first draw against the company's network marketers, which eventually leads to complete shutdown of the network marketing component.

If you're in XELR8, what's next? If you're in a different network marketing company, what can you learn about XELR8's trouble?
