Warning Dont Let This Happen To You!

I’m still recovering! Two days ago I realized I could no longer continue with my company and grow my business. That decision means I will no longer receive the check that I was relying on from my company! This was money I was living off, yes to pay the bills etc. I have no choice but to go and find part time work so I can keep the lights on.

I am determined of course to keep pursuing my dream and will be successful in network marketing. I have learned that the lack of success is not my fault and that you need to belong to a 5 pillar company to avoid the pitfalls in this industry. You can avoid disasters like this if you read the policies and procedures and follow the rules your company has laid down.

So what happened? Well, my company has this 10 customer rule and I was picked on to provide documentation that I had 10 customers in the month of June. This is a requirement to receive my residual income check. I did not have 10 retail customers in the month of June and I’m unable to provide the documentation. So what the company will do is hold my check.

I have to admit I did a lot of soul searching, I loved the products and I’ve worked hard on my business and built a solid team over the past 4 years! Fortunately I recently learned of a mastermind group of networkers that is free to join and the education you receive is incredible. One of the key things I’ve learned is what a five pillar company is and how to evaluate whether a company meets the criteria.

I knew that the company I was in was not a five pillar company. So it really should not have been a surprise to me that this would happen. I knew I had to make a change even before this happened. I knew I was sitting on a time bomb and knew that something like that was going to happen.

It is vitally important that you read your companies policies and procedures and that you understand the rules well. Especially if you are going to rely on the income generated from your opportunity. Michael Dlouhy told us on one of our training calls about a situation that totally blew my mind.

He learned of a gentlemen who built a substantial team and was enjoying a handsome residual income. He decided to retire, then one month his check didnt arrive in the post. He called them and they pointed to a small paragraph in the policies and procedures that said they could terminate him for any reason on annual renewal.

The gentlemen in question of course, promptly tried to sue the company and spent a lot of finances, time and effort to fight this in court. The company won, because it is contract law!!! So beware, make sure that you are in a 5 pillar company and that you read the policies and procedures very carefully!

Hope this helps you avoid a disaster like I went through, take note I STRONGLY suggest you educate yourself on what I mean by a 5 pillar company!

By the way, I’m not giving up on my dream! I will turn this around!
