People Turn to Network Marketing During Tough Economy

I came across the attached video and article and felt compelled to share it.  This information is not new but it's even more prevalent today than ever.

The featured family chose to supplement their income with the Arbonne MLM. In case you have not heard, as posted on January 27, 2010 by Ty Tribble in Arbonne, Arbonne has officially filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection in Delaware. As a result, the hopes and dreams of thousands of hard working people were lost. The company was $530 million in debt while Arbonne distributors thought, and were telling their prospects, that the company was debt free.

Two of the most important lessons to be learned before starting in any MLM is how Business Models ""ALWAYS"" Drive The Behavior In The Field and the use of the Five Pillars in evaluating the opportunity.

Building an MLM organization is great! Everybody knows that it works. It allows the average person to create great wealth. However, we need to approach it in the best way and make sure we are not working 4 or 5 times harder than necessary due to a poor pay plan. We need to make sure there is true succession and that our loved ones can truly benefit from our hard work. We need to make sure that policies and procedures are not full of "on-going" clauses which mean we can never retire.

I hear many people say that they chose a particular MLM opportunity because they love the products. Well, I say then become a consumer but do not hang your future and that of your family on a business because of the product. At the end of the day, even if the product is the best one in the world, how does that serve us if we are not being compensated at the top pay levels or if we have a business model that destroys the business?
