MLM Training- Point Don't Pander
This Lesson is one I learned from one of my teachers, Joe Schroeder and my personal rockstar mentor, Diane Hochman.
And that is Point Don't Pander.
This is a way of marketing that is congruent with human psychology.
As humans we are curious, noisy and investigative by nature.
What Point, Don't Pander means, is that having your marketing approach setup that you are pointing to points of information for prospects to checkout on their own.
I have to admit, this is completely different than what I was doing when I got into this industry.
I did the dial the number, read the script and ask someone to get started right there on the spot.
This is totally against human psychology because these people I just met had no time to do their homework.
I didn't allow people to do their research and make a decision on their own.
Although I was successful doing this, in the end most people disappeared and left because they weren't well informed about what they were joining and therefore we're really serious team members.
So using the approach of "Point, Don't Pander" I allow my prospects to do their research, I simply point to information and by using this approach I get much more serious, qualified people to join me.
Because they came to the conclusion on their own to join my business or buy my product.
Most times I get orders fill my inbox and people enroll themselves without ever speaking.
That is the power of "Point, Don't Pander"
