Motivational DNA What makes a person want to buy a product or buy into your business?
There are 3 things that make a person want to buy something.
- Drives
- Needs
- Awards
With Drives there are 2 types of people
- Productive
- Connective
Productive: Producers want to buy something so they can acheive more time. They want to make there own decision to buy something and don't like to be sold to. Best way to sell to a producer is to give them all the information they need to make a decision for themselves. Let them sell themselves on the product/business opportunity.
Connective:Connectors want to buy something based on there relationship with you. They dont care how much you know about the product if they don't like you they won't buy it. They base there purchase on there relationship with you. Do they trust you.
With Needs there are 2 types of people
Stabilizers: Want consistancy. They base there purchase on logic. These people want facts.
Variables: Want freedom of expression. When your selling to these people keep it light and entertaining. They base there purchase on excitement and emotion. Have fun with them
With Awards there are 2 types of people
Externals: Buy to earn more money. They want to see what benefits they will get out of purchasing the product. They look for opportunity for growth.
Internals: Buy for the cause. How will there purchase help make a difference in the world. They want to know about charities and things like that.
This is why it is so important to interview someone before you try to sell to them. Make sure you know what kind of person your talking to. Take notes. And find out there needs there goals in life. There interests and why they are looking for change.
When you are in business you need to get past your past. Always be moving forward. Always better yourself. Set goals and affirmations to look at and say every day. Excuses are Unexceptable.
