My Small Contribution Today...

Hey everyone, its great that my sub-topic is discipline because thats what I'm contributing today discipline!

The definition of discipline: " doing what you should do, when you should do it, whether you want to do it or not"

Seem's easy, but working from home is challenging.  Here's two of the most important words you can hear if your working from home,

manage distractions

Ever get side tracked? Happens to everyone, but like Jeff Olson says in The Slight Edge my book of the week by the way is, your success or failure is normally not one big event its a bunch of tiny events day after day or decisions day after day that determine whether your slight edge is going up in success motion or down in a failure motion.

A good exercise that Jeff says to do is don't write down what your going to do for the day write down each day at the end of the day what you actually got completed.

As Always To Your Success!

Thank you Jim

Hi Jim,

Simple, straight forward yet powerful. Thank you for this article!

In order to manage my distractions better, one thing that I am now doing is reading my emails at the END of the day rather than first thing.

I subscribe to quite a few email lists for products, services and blog that I find of particular interest. Love the content, but reading those emails can be a HUGE distraction for me and set me off of my desired path for the day. I find that diving right into my day (after meditation), and assigning email reading as my last task, provides greater efficiency and much less distraction.

One other thing I am now implementing is subscribing to RSS Feeds for desired information rather that email lists. This way I can read all my feeds (I use Google Reader) at one time - again providing less distraction.

Thanks again.

Much Success,

Frank

Thanks

Frank,

Thanks for the comments!  I actually check email 4 to 5 times per day.  I'm more of a traditional Network Marketer I see thats where you came from.

I have Awesome support from my direct upline in Ameriplan a friend I've know for 17 years thats earns $450,000 residual after 7 years with Ameriplan. I went full time a at the end of June and got side tracked with all this web 2.0 stuff and videos etc. So I'm recently refocused and rescheduled.

I visited your blog and read a couple post:) Great Stuff! Would like to connect sometime and hear your secret.

Thanks Again!

To Your Success

Jim
