Network Marketers need a Duplicable System
I am wondering how you deal with things you ‘hate to do’: clean the bathroom, prepare the IRS report, make a phone call to a new person, learn a new computer skill. We all have those things that we do easily, twitter? blog? have a coffee? and then there are those things that have to be done....we all have them....and we really dont like doing them.
Do you put it off for as long as you can and hope it turns out not to be necessary? Or hope someone else will do it for you? Or are you a person who deals with the difficult things right away, get them out of the way and get on with more pleasant things? Id like to hear from others about how this plays out in their lives.
I can be very ambitious and excited about my business.......before I get out of bed....or as I go to sleep. But once Im up, I like to check on the animals,... feed, ...check on the weather,.. (of course I do my inspirational/spiritual reading).....then I can reach for the novel ....because it is so comfy sitting in the sun, with now a couple of cats on top of me.....and time just flies....because I am having fun. I can usually convince myself that the cleaning does not HAVE to be done today....who is coming over? No one.
Other times, the mess is great enough that I just WANT to get to it. When I am finally ready to deal with it, I like to get it going right away....first thing, load up the laundry, get the dishwasher organized, lift mats to vacuum, etc etc. I notice that when I DO get to it, in a couple of hours, the place can be really presentable. When I procrastinate and push it away.....I live in a mess for days on end, feel uncomfortable the whole time and guilty because I am not doing what I should be.
The same can be with my business. I am comfortable at the keyboard....sometimes even learn a new trick and enjoy sharing that information. But make a phone call!?!? Yikes!! Do I really need to?? Do my assignment? Today?? That is when my mentor’s call...yanks me off the couch, yeah cats have to move....and his energy and dedication provide the impetus for me to get on with it. I read my reminder today: You cannot be totally dedicated, sometimes!!
I am very grateful for Mentoring for Free that connected me with an active and dedicated group of networkers. Being in that team provides me with momentum when it is difficult to create my own. Their response and feedback encourages me to continue keeping on.
If you do not yet have a mastermind group, or a motivational system, you are welcomed to join us. No big obligation. Just care enough about yourself to create an atmosphere for success.
I welcome your feedback.

Hey Rach!
Yes, Rachel, I think we all or some of us have been through the same thing. I've learned that my procrastination to really "work" that day is from being afraid of success. To some that may sound crazy, but it's true. The fear of more responsibilty...that your life can be exactly the way you want it! Deep down inside, that scares people so they sit and dont do anything (not saying that's you my dear)!
I asked my list two days ago to please e-mail me your biggest issues in building your business and the most talked about subject was Procrasination. I said, just put one foot in front of the other, one day at a time. I you have 12 things to do that week, then don't think about how overwhelming it all is. Just pick one and complete it and then another. Satisfaction of getting things done will set it and you will still goof off less! Enjoying life is good, just a healthy balance of play and work!

Thanks for sharing your day Rachel
Yes the time goes by, doesn't it? When your having fun speeds up even more, till next you know, its time to sleep, and you wake up to a pile of to do's, and start a new day! Don't worry Rachel, when you earn enough you can hire a secretary to do the busy work, and you go on about your day, doing what you love. Thats freedom, and time is your most valuable possession!

Ii would add one ingredient
Desire ! Keep your goals someplace where you can see them constantly. If it's a new house, getting your husband home, traveling, whatever your desire is should be right up front and centre. That is what is going to keep you going when you want to curl up with that book. If your desire is not strong enough your success will be dependent on others pushing and prodding you. It is your decision to be successful. Do what it takes to strengthen your desire so you will motivate yourself.
Then with the right company, training and products you cannot help but become financially successful !
To your success,

Even With a System
Love the post Rachel...made me laugh when I got the image.
I get sorta frustrated at times. I put a support system in place. A system that team members understand to see the value of but when I ask them or advise them to do a few simple tasks to take advantage of that system, some still do not take action.
I've tried to make that into a good tool for me. I can tell and see who has and who has not done all they can to take advantage of the resouces, tools and training I provide to my team. By being able to see who is doing it, I know where and who I can invest my time in wisely.
