Networking Solutions for the newbie (beginners)

Read More: Mindset  |  Personal Development

Ok so this is my first article on BetterNetworker, and since I have a “GURU” score of only 1, which technically ranks me as an “average frustrated Networker” I figured I would write my article to the other level 1 guru marketers out there. I’ve been doing this for a while and I’ve been primarily working on personal development and figured out which way I want to take my business and all the different niches I want to focus on and various of learning curve related things. SO for this article I wanted to write about MY biggest frustration when I started out doing this over the internet.

It’s a pretty intimidating jungle to jump into the middle of. So the biggest question is where do I start?

Well as a starting internet marketer I believe after months of searching and studying I want to make a recommendation of some things to check out to help people get started so they know what they are getting into and what is going to be expected of them and where to go to get it.

1. The first thing I recommend is to sit down and define to yourself what does the term “business” mean to you. Because if you don’t have a proper sense of what business is then you will have a very hard time getting started. I know I did. Everybody makes it sound like you can just pay for a book and all your dreams come true. And the reality of that is that, that is absolutely not true. It takes hard work and dedication on your part to do this. The fact that there isn’t any brick and mortar attached to this business throws people off from the fact that this really is a business. So that the first thing I recommend people do to start of with.

2. If you don’t have a copy of magnetic sponsoring by now you have to go and get one. This is a must because it is one of the cornerstones you will use to base you entire mindset off of to do this business. So that’s the second step. you can get it here: Magnetic Sponsoring

3. Ok, so one of the big questions I had is what mentor do I follow. I have narrowed it down to a couple people you should definitely go and at least sign up for they’re mailing lists, (if nothing else).

  1. Mike Dillard. His courses are awesome, I have them all except the mlm traffic formula, and I have yet to be disappointed in any of them. And I learn something new everyday from them. Plus the system he gives you in his back office for ordering made it so I had all of my money back before his courses even got to my house.

  1. Dennis Karganilla, he is the creator of http://www.mlmgoldmine.com this guy is a video marketing genius. I am part of his ohana secret playground. As well as his 90day challenges. I have been very impressed with his stuff as well. He is my social media marketing mentor. Plus if you want to be part of an awesome 90 day challenge that will help you figure out how to structure and run your goal setting for this business in 90 days it’s a must have course.

  1. Frank Kern. I love this guy. He has so many creative ways of doing internet marketing. Some of his stuff is so funny you forget it’s even a sales video. He does affiliate and video marketing. This guy is a master at building relationships with his target market. I would buy from this guy just because he makes me laugh so hard! You can find him at: http://masscontrolsite.com/blog/

  1. Jeff Johnson. This guy is my very favorite affiliate marketing teachers. He does massive sales every year doing affiliate marketing. Now I don’t know about most of you guys out there. But I have a certain fondness for affiliate marketing. (his mentoring program is next on my list of big mentoring programs to join) if you don’t know affiliate marketing is a must for your business it’s what helps put you into money up front before you even join your MLM or network marketing company.you can find him here : http://www.undergroundtraininglab.com

  1. Eben Pagan. this guy has some amazing videos that you can get for free if you sign up for his newsletter. Aside from the information most of the industry leaders I mentioned above and all of the ones I haven’t listen to this guy, because he knows his stuff. The video I love the most of his is the one that has him talking about “waking up productive” this video alone has been responsible for helping me start to lose weight and starting my day right everyday as well as have more energy and waking up with motivation to go out and do this. This helped me put some much needed order into my life. P.s. it’s done so much good I have lost 3 inches off of my chest and around my stomach!!! (yeah I was totally bragging right there) lol And the only thing I did was change my morning routines and started eating different food, not less but different. His stuff is awesome to say the least. You can check him out here: http://www.getaltitude.com

There are lots of mentors out there and if you have a particular fondness for any of them I recommend go for it and sign up for their list and start learning, but I recommend sticking with the guys I mentioned above. Just so you don’t get run over with information overload in your first couple of months. Plus these guys are the ones I have found offer the best information as well as the most relevant info.

4. So after you have listened to some of the mentors you have chosen you have to find a mentoring program that works best for you. The big catch is you have to stick with it!! The difference between the 95% who make it and the 5% who don’t is the 95% found something that works and stuck with it & Don’t get “glitter eyed” at all the amazing offers there are out there. Just because it says FREE doesn’t mean its going to change the tides of battle. That’s a big one.

5. Figure out what you like and what you want to do with your life and your business. (the mentor's I listed above will help figure that out)
And last but not least sit down and figure out YOUR reason for doing this. It has to be big and it has to be life altering. It has to be personal. Getting out of debt is awesome, living the life of your dreams is great. But if you don’t have a reason for doing this you will fail. And fail BIG TIME.
one of my main reasons is I have a little brother who has Seizures. I dont ever want to be faced with the day that we can't afford to pay for some life saving medicine or surgery. not when I know I can do something about it now. Like I said big and personal.

  1. And the last thing I can recommend is be prepared to continue to invest in your self.  This is a journey not a one click buy this and get your dreams deal work hard and believe in yourself.

A list of recommended reading for beginners:

One of the best books I’ve ever read is called “the new psycho-cybernetics” Mike Dillard recommended it to me.
Rich Dad, Poor Dad (if you haven’t read this one, STOP and go read it first)
The Magic of Thinking Big.
The cash flow quadrant by Robert Kiyosaki.

There are lots of others but the point is to start slow. And not get overwhelmed
Anyways that’s all I got for now.
I hope it’s been useful or helpful in some way.
Write me and let me know what you think

You’re Friend,
-Mitch

Great Advice.

Hi Mitch,

That is a pretty good introduction.

The guru levels aren't really an indication of a persons abilities, it is just a way to encourage you to post more often :)

I look forward to seeing your guru level rise to match your abilities.

Re: Networking Solutions for the newbie (beginners)

Hi Mitch,

Great job with your first article.  You have provided many people with some very good content.

I suggest you add one more person to your list of mentors.  That is Mike Klingler of Renegade University.  I have learned more from Mike over the last 5 months than my entire 7 years in network marketing.

Mike does a great job of detailed, step by step training primarily in the area of attraction marketing.  His training is perfect for a beginner.

You can go to Renegade University and click on "Get Started Today" to look at some of the free training.

Keep up the great work.

New mentor, hmmm...

ill have to check him out. after i had so many different people's mailing lists coming to my inbox I just deleted all that I had and unsubscribed too all but the best ones. and I stopped looking for new mentors. it gets kinda confusing trying to wade thru all the millions of mentors out there. but I will definately check him out.

Thanks Chief,

-Mitch
