Our business is it for real or, or we just playing at it?
There have been several articles written lately about the Policy and Procedures from various companies. I need to make a few observations here about this issue.
I know that most people in general are understanding and trusting by nature. After all we no one wants to go through life bitter and not trusting of anyone. However, it does amaze me that when someone goes into a “real” business of brick and mortar, renting a store or office, suddenly contracts, agreements and legal documents take on a whole different significance. We have our attorney read through them for us and protect our interest before we spend a dime! Why is it then, when we start a home based business like network marketing, these documents such as a Policy and Procedures don’t seem as important? It is like we are not really starting a business, we are just “playing around” on the computer. Just because you can “go” to work in your pj’s doesn’t mean you aren’t playing for real.Maybe if we stopped took a look at what we were getting into, stepped back and got a bigger picture we would realize that yes, this is a real business and that we hope to generate a real income from. After all we are signing legal documents with the company we have chosen to join. There are expectations on both sides from us as to what kind of ongoing support, help, product quality, marketing materials and training we are going to be provided with. And on the company’s side, what kind of effort are we going to commit to, how much product are we going to buy and sell and are we going to uphold their code of conduct when representing their company and product to the public. The biggest mistake that I believe is made daily by the 150,000 or so people that come into network marketing each month is they buy into the hype and excitement that has been generated and presented to them before doing any research or checking out the company. There are a lot of companies out there to choose from and they all want you to come on board and be part of their “family”. As we all talk to prospects daily, let us all make a promise here and now to do them and ourselves a favor and give them a copy of our company’s Policy and Procedures and also explain to them that yes, this is a big decision they are making and provide them with all of the information they need to make a good one. I mean don’t we want them to become successful and productive members of our down line? And, if you don’t have a copy of your company’s P&P, call them and tell them you want one sent to you by fax or email right away so you can sit down and see where you stand and whether you need to make some changes in your future. After all, we are in this trying to grow our businesses and want to be treated with the respect and honesty that we are treating the company and product we represent, don’t we?Thank you for your time and I wish all of you nothing but the best.John Simshttp://johnsims.bigmlmlies.com

Really, why I can't even find the P&P on the company site!
I looked and looked for the P&P on a company's corporate website, and guess it's not that important, because it wasn't even there!
Go figure...
