2 Roads - Make the Right Choice

Recently my pastor read Christ's words in Matthew about two roads.  The example reads that the wide gate and broad road leads to destruction, while the small gate and narrow road leads to life.  The rest of his words spoke loudly to me, "And only a few will find it". 

It spoke to me as a parrallel to home businesses.  One road leads to success.  Can you guess which road it is?  The narrow road is the harder and more difficult road that so few business owners take.  But on the other hand, the wide road that most beginner business owners take - the easier road - means you probably have given the work of growing your business to others and you have lost control of your business outcome.  No one likes to blame themselves for business failures, but as Nick Vujicic (known from his No Arms, No Legs, No Worries videos) says "If you fall and choose not to try and get up again, then you will always be down".  Only you can do the work of getting up again.  Only you can do the work, the effort, and the learning.  Then also, you can claim the lessons learned and ultimate success as your own.  Yes, supportive people can gain you energy and hope, but ultimately, it is your decision.  The wide road or the narrow road are your choices.  Im taking the narrow.

I've tried the wide road and found I lost money and I lost time.  However, on the narrow road, I invested my money and invested my time, and I grew.  I grew in strength while struggling with the harder rocky road.  I grew in courage by facing another mountain.  In time, I grew successful.  Isn't success what you truely want?  Did you know that other benefits would also come with success - like strength of mind and courage of heart?  Both are qualities that will stay with you and enhance all aspects of your life.  Don't be afraid of the narrow road.  Choose it!
