3 Key Components If You Want To Become Successful

Recently I had one of my newsletter subscribers drop me an email and ask, "What's your secret to success in this industry?"

Before I responded to him I started to think to myself, "What has really been the secret to my success?" Not just in business but in life period.

After about 10 minutes of pondering over this question, I came up with the following response.

I have no secrets.

I guess what I mean, is that the things that I have done to become successful are the same things that everyone who desires to be successful can do.

And even though there are many elements that are instrumental to ones success, I would have to say 3 very important components of success for me has been the following:

• Practice delayed gratification: I don't run out and purchase things that I would love to have. I always set goals and once I hit the goal, then I reward myself by making the purchase. It's hilarious because most of the time, when I ultimately hit the goal, I generally no longer want the item that I was going to purchase.

• Understand the power of Leverage And Compound Interest: It is because of this understanding that I got involved in the Network Marketing industry. I figured the ROI on my time in any business, would never be as great, as the return I would get, if there were many others replicating my efforts.

• Have long term vision: This is hard for a lot of people because they can never look past today. I understand anything I build that I want to last forever, requires that I look beyond today.

The day I signed on the dotted line to purchase my Jani-King franchise, I did not see and my wife and I out until 4 and 5 in the morning cleaning cleaning toilets...

Although that's exactly what we had to do.

I saw future 5,10 and 15 years down the road when we would have a staff of 30 or more and that's want we have been able to accomplish over the past 17 years now.

So although these things are no real secret, they are yet another part of the puzzle, they are 3 key components for anyone who's wondering what it takes to succeed.
