3 secrets A Female Entrepreneur Must Know To achieve Success In Her Online Business

We were on a call the other day with a new female entrepreneur when she asked, “What 3 things do I absolutely need to know so I can make good money with my online business?”

My first thought was, wow that’s kinda hard. To come up with only 3 secrets to achieve online business success was a big request, but then I realized she was feeling totally overwhelmed and 3 lessons was more then enough.

As a female entrepreneur there are loads of things you are being exposed to all the time. In the beginning I remember feeling totally overwhelmed by the onslaught of new information. To be honest half the time I didn’t even know what other entrepreneurs were talking about, much less what next step I was supposed to take. We realized that’s exactly how she was feeling.

 Today we thought it would be great to share with you the secrets we shared with her.

So here are the 3 Secrets a female entrepreneur must know to achieve success in her online business.

Secret 1 – Love what you do and know why you’re a female entrepreneur. Becoming a female entrepreneur and building an online business, like any other business takes time and energy. Loving what you do and remembering why you do it will help you get through the tough times. And to be brutally honest with you, there will be tough as h*ll times.

We have a dream book that we use to remind ourselves of our goals and dreams. Our suggestion for you, if you haven’t already done it, take the time to write your goals and dreams and build your dream book or board today.

Secret 2 – Focus on only one new task at a time. We all have many things we learn on our entrepreneurial journey. One of the best pieces of advice we had gotten early on was to focus on one new skill at a time.

You see when we first started to build our online business we thought we had to, “know it all,” at once.

We tried to figure out how to get good at blogging, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, videos, PPC marketing, and anything else that we could think of, all at once. We signed up for courses and webinars on everything and anything.

Sound familiar?

No wonder we felt overwhelmed. What we discovered was that feeling overwhelmed at times is very normal for all of us but especially for new female entrepreneurs.

We solved the problem by focusing on one thing at a time and we set a goal to spend at least 3 months focusing on getting good at one new skill before we added another skill to the list.

Secret 3 – No one does it alone. We found the fastest way to build our online business and achieve the success we wanted was to find others that were doing what we wanted and to surround ourselves with them.

You know the old saying, “you do what your friends do.” As a female entrepreneur, take the time to develop friendships with other female entrepreneurs. 

When we saw other people being successful on a regular basis not only did it totally strengthen our belief in what we could achieve, we honestly started to set our goals much higher.  Constantly network with other female entrepreneur, join female entrepreneur groups online and in your community.

We also discovered that having a female entrepreneur coach was essential. Someone who had walked the path and could give us the recipe to do the same saved us tons of money and time.
