The Ant Philosophy-A four part philosophy for success.
Jim Rohn was a man that touched many people`s lives with his philosophies. I listen to him whenever I can, I recently signed up for his newsletter. Lol isn`t it amazing that you could affect the lives of people in the world to such an extent that even after you`re gone, people could still learn from you, listen to you and join your newsletters?
Now I know that it`s not "his" newsletter per say, but its filled with his work. Anyhow, I`d like to share with you, what I`ve learned from this one in particular.
It`s called The Ant Philosophy, it has four parts to success; everyone should study Ants, as they have this amazing philosophy.
Ants never quit- if they are heading somewhere and you try to stop them, they`ll look for another way. They will either climb over the obstacle, climb under, around or if they can, they will climb through it! Whatever they need to do they will keep looking for another way.
What about you? Do you have the "never quit" mentality? Are you commited to achieving your goals in life? Or do you let the obstacles stop you? Remember the Ant philosophy when next you are faced with an obstacle, whatever you need to do, you can overcome it.
The second philosophy is; Ants think winter all summer, they are always preparing. I have always heard the older folks say to save for a rainy day (those of us who have rain, instead of snow). I think they had also adopted the "think winter all summer" mentality, which is an important perpsective. We all need to prepare for unseen circumstances, we donot want to be caught in an emergency with no resources.
In true Jim Rohn style, the next philosophy is; Ants think summer all winter. The concept here is that they remind themselves that winter is not going to last forever, so they prepare for the ending of winter. We would be wise to follow this philosophy, when you are in the lows of life, when you do all that you need to do but still cannot seem to make things work.
You need to remember seasons don`t last forever, just prepare yourself, look at your mindset, look at your work ethics, if you need to make changes, then make them, so that you can be ready to move when the circumstances improve.
The final philosophy; the Ant gathers all that he possibly can, for the winter. Again do you have the do-all-that-you-possibly-can mentality? In your business, in your studies, on your job, are you doing all that you possibly can? Whether it is for you or your team, you need to give your all.
When you put these together; never giving up, preparing ourselves for the unseen, looking ahead, staying positive and doing all that you possibly can, you will achieve success.
Success is the study of the obvious. Everyone should take Obvious 1 and Obvious 2 in school - Jim Rohn.
Part of success is preparation on purpose- Jim Rohn.
Until next time, I`m
