Being Thankful

being thankful

Being thankful changed my life. There was a time in my life that I looked at all the things wrong in my world. That was my focus, talking about all the "story."

You know the one....we all can have a story.

One that allows us to use the story as our excuse. One that allows us to be the victim instead of victor of our life.

Are you playing the victim role or the victor role in your life?

Be the victor, the champion in your own life!

It starts with taking a stand for yourself that you will no longer accept excuses from yourself.

No excuses why you stay at a joy you hate, change it.

No excuses for being the parent that misses the school event, choose a different way.

No excuses for being the smoker, stop it.

How do you do that?

I know, change is difficult. In fact, it can be quite painful. It is not the easy 30 minute fix that happens on TV that's for sure!

Begin with being thankful. When you create an energy of gratitude, it is one of the most powerful attactors in the universe.

When you align yourself with gratitude it creates a positive energy that attract greatness to you. Surround your life with things that make you feel good.

When you write in a gratitude journal a list of the things that you are grateful for it creates concrete evidence of what great things happened to you that day. It's amazing how shifting your focus to being thankful will transform the way your life looks.

"Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough." Oprah Winfrey

It is as the Law of Attraction says that whatever you focus your attention and energy on, you will attract more of the same. Like attracts like.

Have you had the experience when it seems as if everything is going wrong from the moment you get up?

Where was your focus? I know for me, it was on all the things going wrong. Hey, life happens right? It is like the saying, "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." It is looking at life with the glass half full instead of half empty. It is looking where you are going, instead of looking where you been. You could even say some of us have been staring at the past, not wanting to let it go!

Be guided by your vision! Be thankful for all wonderful possibilities in your life.

"So often we dwell on the things that seem impossible rather than on the things that are possible. So often we are depressed by what remains to be done and forget to be thankful for all that has been done."
Marian Wright Edelman
