Are You Being Used?
“This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one…being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown to the scrap heap…being a force of nature instead of a feverish, selfish clod of ailments and grievances.” George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950) Irish Writer
How many of us can say that we enjoy being used? How many of us can say we are a force of nature, or a force of any kind of that matter? What would happen to our business if we started being used and if we became a force of nature?
If we use all our talents and skills to their maximum potential, there is no limit to what we could accomplish. Recognizing that we have a purpose and that it is a mighty one to us is the force driving us to reach our maximum potential. Fulfilling this purpose in our business means success.
Fulfilling that purpose usually involves more than just us. It includes others in our business. In network marketing, the success if our business is always tied to the success of others. Using our skills and talents to help others is a might purpose indeed.. One that, once again, results in not only our success, but the success of others as well. Helping others become successful while helping yourself is what networking marketing is all about.
Working towards a purpose until you are “thoroughly worn out” takes discipline. Most people just work because they have to support themselves and their families. Many people finish their working lives thoroughly worn out, but few wore themselves out working toward a purpose they felt was a mighty one. Are you working toward a mighty purpose or just working?
Perhaps even more difficult than being disciplined enough to go through life being used to the max is doing it without complaining. Doing it while overcoming what might become physical and mental anguish is difficult. Again, having a might purpose is essential.
No one likes to be uncomfortable, yet most of us find ourselves at less than our best multiple times in our lives. Working through the physical and mental problems while still being of value to others is difficult, but the rewards are great.
Can you become a single minded force? Can you become so focused on your purpose that you become mighty and powerful? Can you serve as an example to others? Can you overcome physical and mental limitations?
The ability to be your best always takes discipline and perseverance. You only get one chance at life and only one chance to make sure you have thoroughly worn out your gifts and talents. Make sure you are being used to the max!
