Are You Coachable?

Read More: Discipline

You hear it everyday from the new excited person becoming involved with network marketing.  "I'm in it to win it, I want to bring in alot of people, my rolodex is impressive, I can make a lot of money in this."  S-l-o-w down cowboy!  Unfortunately what happens with most is that they become what I refer to as the "one arm wallpaper hanger" -- I can do this by myself.  AND...they don't produce.  Ego, ego, ego.

What they really need to do is step back and ask themselves, "am I wiling to be honest about my current situation, willing to acknowledge where I am stuck in life, willing to change or eliminate any self-defeating bhaviors that limit my success?"  The list of questions can go on and on.  So few are willing to take direction, to learn from those who came before them and have proven to be successful.

Your EGO can certainly get in the way of your success.  One of the key ingredients I have found to be extremely helpful is in "remaining teachable".  I don't have all the answers.  I am honest about that with team members and it becomes an opportunity for us to learn together.  Your EGO can be such a detrement and, at times, can be your best friend; however, do you know how to be that flexible?  When to turn it on and turn it off?

Becoming coachable can be the biggest difference between earning a BIG CHECK or NO CHECK.  Humility can become your best asset -- keep an open mind, leave your ego at the door and become teachable.  Good luck!

re: Are You Coachable?

I think every person has to be coachable, no matter what line of work/business the person's in. If you wanna grow as a person, you just gotta learn to be mentored by anybody who's been there.

not only being coachable....

Another big issue beside being coachable is spending the time to learn these skills. One thing I have heard many businesses say I don't have time.

Every single one of these people are struggling in their business. If you want to grow and automate your business. You need to learn these new business skills.

Being open minded defeats ego anytime

Ever run into those type of people? Never willing to think for a minute that there is another point of view? Their opinion is right and that's all there is to it.
Ego ! Not only not coachable but arrogant to boot.
Big world out there, sad that there are those that have chosen to stay in a rut.
