Are You Suffering From Quick Buck Remedy?
"Are you here to build your business? Or are you here to make fast cash?" Rai-Yu asked this question to my brother during a quick huddle last week. Rai-Yu, the very first distributor of Organo Gold, hit me with his question like a colt gun... BAM! "Why haven't I asked that to my team?" I told myself. Most new network marketers in my team might be doing the quick buck remedy without them knowing it. Perhaps most new network marketers out there are also doing it. They should know what quick buck remedy is... or maybe you should know what quick buck remedy is.
What is quick buck remedy anyway?
I'll dissect that into two parts for you:
quick buck =fast cash; fast money; quick cash
remedy = cure; workaround; temporary relief
Quick Buck Remedy is a network marketing thinking that the only cure to survival is- "I've got to sell/recruit today so I can pay my bills and survive a little more for tomorrow?"
Most new network marketers are so worried about their bills that they forget why they joined network marketing- to build and own a business. The perception of network marketing becomes "a source of fast cash (quick buck)" instead of "a start-up business". I am not telling you to stop worrying about your bills, I'm sure I can't stop you there.
What I am telling you is to stop using network marketing as a temporary remedy for your bills!

Lottery ticket mindset
Another way to explain this is the lottery ticket mindset. I had a guy join my business then 10 days later want out. He was losing his house he thought he could make a quick buck and save his house.
There are some people who have spend years learning this industry and have not fully been involved. For example one of my mentors spend 7 years learning business skills with out actually doing it. Her first year she made $250,000. She did not do it from a dead start this is a business and we need to treat it like a business.
